question about possibility of getting Davenport

If the Phins could land N.Davenport , would that mean that Saban would go back to a rb by committee again. As much as i would like to have Davenport or Ricky back, i like to see how Ronnie could handle a 25-30 carries a game on a regular basis.

well now a days you need to have a good running back depth. if you have two good backs that can wear the down the defense, it takes alot of pressure off the QB and the defense.

I dont think bringing in Davenport would mean we were going to an RB by committee at all...

Ronnie will be the starter... and full-time starter at that...

davenport would be like a tj duckett type and ronnie would be like warrick dunn getting most of the carries and starting all the games and the culpepper would be like vick but with acuracy and less yards

All of u make good points. I especially like the idea of a dunn/duckett backfield if we do go and get him. Nice combo to say the least
