Ok guys here me out. I am as big a Tannahill supporter as anyone on this board. With that being said, for him to be a former wide out he looks very slow and stiff in the pocket. His initial takeoff is very slow and he rarely out runs d lineman. Your thoughts?

For what it's worth Tannehill still has one of the higher passer ratings in the NFL right now and is on a 24-0 td to interception pace. He also already has eight pass plays of 20 yards or more, which is among the league leaders, I think Roethlisberger leads the league with 10.

What I don't understand is how people call him a "stats only" QB. What does that even translate to? If your QB puts up good-great stats and it's still not enough, perhaps the problem lays someplace else other than the QB.

Saying your QB is a "stats-only" QB who can't win games is like saying that the kid getting A's on his test still can't pass the class. Nothing makes sense about it, at all...

Yeah. If Brady, Rogers, Manning, or anybody else got the pressure Tannehill gets, they'd cease being "elite."

Give the man a line and he will smoke. Marino had a line. As did Elway and Montana. That's why they were great.

Tannehill is one of the better QBs in the league. With a reliable line he'd be excellent.

Hard to shine when you are always running for your life.

The easy explanation is that the Tannehill haters are quite simply mouth breathers who are no smarter than your average Youtube commentator.

It's because Tannehill is not reliable to make plays with the game on the line. Last nights final drive before last was abysmal.

Who is Tannahill?

He is the guy who makes the bonehead decisions and gets happy feet...Holds ball too long & leads his team to defeat often.

Tannehill on the other hand is our future HOF QB who's jock strap even the great Dan Marino cannot carry...

So because he didn't lead a game winning or tying drive with 40 seconds left and no timeouts, he isn't a good QB? Did you stop and ask yourself, why the hell is the team in that situation when your QB put up those kinds of numbers?

How many QBs do you honestly think can go the distance in 40 seconds without any timeouts being pressured as he was the entire game. I'll wait for a response...

Tannehill is a good QB, he just needs a better LT and LG to block for him. We lost last game because of the LT, LG, Aikens and Vernon.

There are times when that label makes sense. Usually it is when a QB does nothing until the game is far out of reach, then pads the stats in garbage time. That is not the case with Tannehill.

Not the most in depth analysis but I literally LOL'd! Thanks for the laugh.:brewskis:
