Good Morning Dolphins Fans:bowdown:

Nobody knows their team like fans! Fans watch EVERY second of every game each week... and I know you guys get frustrated when you see national pundits talk about your squad and don't do their research and due diligence.. Which is why I'm reaching out to you guys!

I'm doing an offseason/Draft preview for every NFL team.. And I want to know what do you guys think are your biggest team needs for 2010? I will compare them with my notes and put together a complete preview!

I will also give finshaven.com a shout out on the show as well:bowdown:

Here are mine...so, lets compare:

1. WR
2. ILB
3. S
4. DE
5. RB

What am I missing?

I think most here would agree with me ILB is#1 and S or WR is #2. Since this is expected to be a 3-4 again you could change DE to OLB and it could be #3 or #4 with WR. Probably #3 for WR although many here will say WR is 1 or 2. I say if you haven't watched much Fin games just look at the final scores and guess how much greater the need on defense is then WR. Assuming the guys on the roster stay RB is a future need and with guys like Wake and JT you could argue they will be OK short term at OLB. I'd rather get a stud TE than another RB at this point. As far as OLB Wake you don't know if he can play 60 minutes and JT you don't know if he is too old. Plus will Porter stay, can he contribute next year?

My ranking of needs would be
1 ILB
2 S
3 WR
4 DE/OLB
5 TE

yes

1 Ilb One That Can Run With A Te
2 Free And Strong Safety
3 Wr Deep Threat Deluxe
4 Te Who Is Fast As Hell
5 Nt Who Can Yes Like My Name Two Gap

I think as far as needs.....like the first need we have to be successful in our defense is Nose Tackle. I am not saying that is where we go first in the draft but IMO is the BIGGEST need we have.
1. NT (Ferguson is getting older and wearing down & Soliai is a back up)
2. ILB (that can cover)
3. Safety (that can cover- free safety)
4. OLB (one that can stuff the run and set the line)
5. WR (a bonified #1 that actually scares defensive coordinators)

#1 NT (Stop the run)
#2 ILB (Stop the run and cover)
#3 FS (Cover)
#4 TE (A complete one that can complement Fasano)
#5 WR (Next year maybe #1 or #2, but first .... DEFENSE is all I can think of)
I think Camarillo and Hartline will be much better, the only way I would give up an early pick for a WR is if Mrs. Ginn Jr. is replaced by the rookie. And because this position (same as NT) has lots of risks, (see Ted Ginn), I would prefer to search for one via free agency.

1. ILB - Rolando McClain would be a perfect fit here. If we can get a smart, talented, playmaking ILB. Someone who can contribute as a defensive general and leads by example. I truly believe it would take this defense to the next level. Brandon Spikes would also be a good, not great, pickup at this position. His edge and tenacity would bring a mean streak that this defense missing.

2. NT -
To be honest, the main reason this is such a high priority is because of the type of defense we run. All good 3-4 Defenses have a solid foundation at Nose Tackle, eating up Interior Linemen, taking on double teams. In case you guys didnt notice this year, a solid NT can be the difference between a stout run defense and a mediocre one. Bama's Terrance Cody would be the only one i see fit in this class worth being taken at No. 12. Suh and McCoy will be long gone by now.

3. FS - Eric Berry would be a dream come true, but we all know thats not happening. Just as we all know how hard it was to watch our FS play this year. When one position single handedly causes a few losses over the course of one season, its time for a change. Wilson, with the exception of a couple bright spots scattered around, played horrible the entire season. Missing tackles, getting burned, it felt like we might as well have been playing with 10 people on the field sometimes. Now USC's Taylor Mays is a possibility here, and although the kid is an absolute athletic freak, I feel like he is going to slip down some draft boards once they start putting all these players under the microscope.

4. WR - Some of you will say that this is a bigger need then where i have it but the truth is a elite #1 guy is a luxury more than a necessity. And having one doesnt make you an elite team, or even a playoff contender (See A. Johnson in HOU or C. Johnson in DET). Now Having another starting caliber receiver would help out our receiving corps a lot by taking some of the attention off of Ginn and the rest of our guys. And besides, it would be great to see Henne with some real weapons to go to. I dont think WR is a big enough need to warrant Dez Bryant with our first pick. But maybe snagging Benn of Lafell in some later rounds would be a great pickup.

5. TE - Another pick that is not completely necessary but would help out our offense in multiple dimensions. Fasano and Haynos are great blockers, and it looks like Sperry could be a pass catching threat once he gets some experience. In SD they called Sperry a mini Antonio Gates. Aaron Hernandez would be a great pickup if he falls a couple rounds. Or maybe McCoy from USC could be snagged up with one of our 5 picks in the last two rounds.

4. DE
5. RB

i dont like your list at all.. #1, #4 and #5 are not immediate needs for us at all (although with Ted Ginn, I can see why you mightve gotten that idea)..

we need NT, ILB, OLB, S, TE

The OLB and S position can flip flop in terms of importance but the needs at NT and ILB are glaring...

Dont get me wrong, id like to get a nice true #1 WR that KNOWS how to get open and catch but its not an immediate need - especially after addressing the position in last years draft..

1. ILB - Playmaking ILB - I really think Sean Lee from Penn can be a good player to pick up in Round #2
2. DT - Terrence Cody
3. OLB
4. WR
5. ILB #2
6. FS, but I think Clemons will pan out to be that guy

I also think you are missing the boat a bit with #1, #4, and #5. #1 should be moved down to #4 and #4 and #5 should not be on the list. Here is my rankings.

1. ILB - Ayodele and Torbor should be back-ups and Crowder should not be the signal caller of the defense and our #1 MLB. I'm fine with him as our #2.
2. FS - Wilson needs to go, I'm not yet sold on Clemons being his replacement. Whether it's the draft or FA, this position needs to be upgraded
3. NT - If Fergy comes back healthy for 2010, this may not be as big of a need for 2010 (but definitely becomes #1 for 2011)
4. WR - #1 type guy only. If you can't get a #1 type guy, let the young guys we have grow (Hartline / Bess)
5. OLB - 1 of Porter or Taylor should be gone, so we are going to need some help here. This probably jumps WR and NT if we can't get a #1 WR and Fergy ends up coming back for 1 more year.

By the way, DE is probably the position we have the most depth in (Starks, Langford, Merling, McDaniel). Maybe you were thinking OLB considering one of JT or Porter should be gone.

I would agree with RB if Ronnie is not back, but all signs are pointing to him being back and Ricky will be back for 1 more year.
