Question about the 73 season

With all this talk about how the patriots blah blah can break the record.. id just like to know, in 1973 did we lose our first game then? cause we went 12-2 but it didnt say when our first lost came.

The main thing isnt that we won 17 in a row. it was that we went undefeated.. and winning 17 in a row over two seasons isnt going undefeated.

If we go by "New England" standards, we won 18 in a row... that includes the first week of 73 where we beat the 49ers. We lost in Week 2 of '73 to the Raiders 7-12
