First off what a great play call. However, should it have counted?

As a friend pointed out to me on Tannehill's initial handoff to Gore, Gore was in front of Tannehill when he received the ball. Although it was handed from one to the other, isn't that still considered a forward pass and would've made Wilson's pass illegal?

I hope we see more of this creativeness moving forward, the guys seem to love it. Side note, I love that we are using Gore and Drake much more on the field together along with Grant/Wilson in the backfield.

If you flip the ball forward -- i.e. it leaves your hand and travels forward in the air -- that's a shovel pass.

If you hand the ball off -- i.e. it is in your hand when it enters the hands of the receiving back -- that is a hand off.

The play was perfectly legal.

The debate of 2018... what distinguishes a handoff from a pass. Air? For the record the 2 touch passes we had for TDs were scored as a forward pass

Those were tossed. The air makes the difference. The line has to be somewhere, and that's what distinguishes a pass from a handoff.

Watching it again and the Wilson TD. I have a feeling that we are going to see Wilson get The ball a lot next week. Wilson is so much better than Landry.

This offense is explosive when Gase decides to go there. He definitely didn't show his hand in pre-season, that's for sure.

Better is debatable but definitely different skill sets. Lets see how the seasons ends for both players before we just start hating on a guy for leaving the team. Enjoy the win.

like the difference between running and speed walking in the olympics

Did we draft Wilson, I guess I didn't really follow training camp much. But Who is wilson, will he be a gem that becomes a solid playmaker for us? I see he had a big pass today and two big plays receiving, 74 yards. So seems like miami might have a lesser known player that could be pushing playing time and making a name for himself on the dolphins offense.

He's a free agent pick up that was drafted by and played for the Chiefs.
