This game is going to boil down to both teams' running games. If McGahee can get going, Buffalo should pull it out. Likewise, if Brown and Williams get the ball a lot against our crap run-D, Miami will likely win.

My question is about Linehan. I haven't seen many Miami games, but do check the stats. Is he still shortchanging Brown and Williams on carries? It seemed for a few weeks that Brown was only getting around 16 carries per game while Williams got between 6-11. Has he finally started feeding the ball to his backs?

I hope that he will put the game in Frerotte's hands against our secondary considering his (Linehan's) track record. This game, however, would be one where Miami would seemingly have success running.

Based on their past couple of games, what are your predictions for the Fish's gameplan this week. I know that a lot of you will say, "Run R&R down Buffalo's throat!!!" But, do you have faith that this will actually be the strategy that Linehan will apply?

Nope.... He might start at that, but i think that invariably it will become some kind of pass fest... I hope not though... I just dont htink that He has proven that he will in any way move away from the pass... at least not for long.

We'll use a balance attack like we did against Oakland. 31 rushes, 31 passes.

For some reason, I think the opposite. The game is going to boil down to the QB's. I just hope Losman waits until next week to start showing any improvement.

no i think with everyting being equal that we should run more this week due to buffalo being not verygood agenst the run.

I am a big fan on the crossing routes in the passing game. If the Fins can do that they can create multiple mismatches. Then you can go deep (a few times) and run the football.

I believe the Dolphins have to be patient and let things unfold as they will.

There is a double threat in the backfield and the OL is quite a bit more physical these days.

If I were a Bills fan I would be a little bit bothered by the pressure Miami is getting up front on the D side. The front four ( pressure) seem to be buying into what a DL should accomplish and three seem to be getting more push against the run.

Sure we are playing this season out as rebuilding and I'm just fine with that
as I know The team is on the right track.

We wanted JPthe last time and now he is in our sights.

I think this gritty D wins the game.

We are setting ourselves up just beautifully for the future.

Just watch.

And in the meantime, I am patient! :)

Miami's offense can't help but become pass-happy right now. Even if Linehan decides to split the run and pass calls 50/50 beforehand, the calls will be entirely based on whether we can make good on those big plays he likes to call on 1st down. When you miss on those big plays, you have to make up for it on second and third down, and that means passing is more likely, especially with our sub-par QB situation.

Gus loves to throw downfield, but he just can't make those big plays as often as he needs to to keep the offense moving efficiently. That means more passing and less running to make up for it (although the direct snap on 3rd and long last week was genius, and I hope we see more like that in the future).

i agree. you cant be a vertical offense if you Qb and WRs cant do the job

I would love to see a 50/50 ratio, but I think that depends on the circumstances of the game. I think it comes down to the Qb's and special teams who wins this week. It's a very even matchup, and I hope Saban does not allow the ball to get into Parrish/McGee/Clements hands on punts, because they could break a big one. I expect both teams to be able to run the ball, but I don't believe either team will be successful in 3rd and 6+.

i think the bills are in trouble this weekend and it has nothing to do with either teams' running game. i suspect saban will stack the box and throw all kinds of wicked zone blitzes at JP and the kid will get rattled early. this game is going to look alot like the bills @ bucs game earlier in the year imo.

Now that Saban has moved Linehan down on the sidelines besides him, I think we will see a more balanced offense, like he did at Oakland. I read that the Miami players liked it alot better with Linehan on the sidelines, with them.

Its been pretty good lately. Generally they both get around 15 carries a piece and about to passes a game to brown....Last week we ran 31 runs and 34 passes(including sacks)
