when we line up 3 reciever set why is wesley Welker out there and not DBO? The guy has talent we can use his big body? Saban should give him a chance

maybe wes has impressed Saban more than Boston has.

Welker is clutch and WILL get the first down. Boston is inconsistant! Simple!

Yeah simple, Welker moves the chains and makes plays. Boston just flaps around out there and doesn't make great effort. As someone here pointed out, two patellar tendon surgeries does not spell agility or route running, so basically he either streaks down the field on go routes or takes the short WR screens and jukes. Thats the extent of his repertoir nowadays.

Yep, I think Boston's days in the league are now being a #4 WR or out of a job.

Week by week more will agree. And yet everyone called me crazy when I said a week ago that Boston should be cut in favor of a guy who could have more long term value to the team. Be it Chad Owens or Fred Gibson, I don't really care...

I don't think we disagreed with the concept, it was the player you wanted to replace him. 5'9" (being generous) Chad Owens.

I'd like to see more of this Gilmore kid. Anyway, I'm dissapointed in Boston because in preseason, I know it means nothing, he was the only receiver on the team that if the ball had hit him in the hands he caught it. In the regular season he can't catch a cold. Go figure.

I agree and i'd be VERY interested to know how Fred Gibson's coming along on the PS and how close he is to being activated to the 53 man roster. I really liked this kid at UGA and in the right system I think he can succeed. I guess if he were as good as I thought he'd already be on it, but, I hope he's showing them something. I can vision them activating him around game 6 or 7, and us winning a game with an under thrown fade route to him in the corner of the endzone, him catching it at the highest point and that's it, game over, thanks for coming. Ok, that might be a little stretch, but I'm wishing the best for this kid as a Dolphin.

I still want to give boston a little more time. The talent is there no doubt I dont know what it is but i'm going to atleast wait a couple more weeks until i call for bostons head.

Gibson is getting some quality practice time in right now learning the ropes and impersonating different WRs in the league...learning the playbook, everything. He could end up paying off for us I have a great feeling about him. I really liked him coming out I'm not sure why. I just saw him as another Wilford.

Gibson will be soild imo and i think he was a great pickup. He may not be activated at all this year b/c he is considered a raw talent and needs to learn the NFL and our playbook. Great player to keep stashed on the practice squad though. Nothing but potential and big play abilitity with this guy.
