Hello everyone. I am a Jets fan, and I come in peace. Great game yesterday. Congrats on the win:( .

I'd like to ask a question of Phin fans since you guys are the Jets biggest rival and you just played NY.

What, honestly, is your opinion of Brooks Bollinger at QB for the Jets? You probably don't care, but it's nice to get the perspective of opposing teams fans from time to time.

Booker looker pretty good yesterday. What do you think Miami is going to do at QB for 06?

He is good for what he is, a third string quarterback. I will dare say he is the best third string quarterback in the league, this side of AJ Feeley.

He's not starting QB potential, it seems like the only big plays he makes is when the other team makes a mistake. His yardage yesterday was skewed because of the big plays.

Brooks could be a good 2nd stringer but no more than that. As for our qb for 2006 i think we will draft Jay Cutler from Vanderbilt.

Who knows what his future is for you guys, but i just posted on another board where everyone is mad at our secondary because of his 300+ passing game against us. Our secondary has its moments where we give up some big plays, but i will take nothing away from Bollinger..... He looked pretty impressive. At least it gives you guys something to discuss for next year.

Dude, be honest. BB is a decent backup at best. Gotta give him credit yesterday, though, as he looked like Joe Montana and Dan Marino combined. But I've watched him all season and I just don't see much happening there in reality. He seems like a good kid, who will give you his best effort and is athletic - but c'mon!! He's not your Tom Brady if that's what you're wondering.

You're better off keeping Chad if you ask me. But if you have the chance - and you just might - you should grab Lienart in the draft. That would make me vomit for days, of course, but if you're looking at things from a Jet perspective ...

As for us, we'll probably have Gus as the starter on opening day next season, but we'll have a new QB in place by '07 I'm sure. Who? That's anyone's guess!

Glad we could break your heart yesterday :sidelol:

While on paper we should have crushed you, I'm not about to criticize any win over the Jets after the way things have gone the last 16 games ...

Obviously at this point you shouldnt be worried about win/losses. You can be down on your season, (as we were last year) but if i were you i would be most impressed not with your qb, but with Houston.... He was a horse yesterday..... Definately a bright spot behind Martin.

I liked his mobility and toughness and he showed he was able to make good decisions. I believe that he is a better QB than Fiedler and that he should be the Jets #2 QB.

As far as his starting potential goes; I think that if he were forced into that position against a team with a decent secondary, he may have some problems but if allowed to mature behind a better OL and get some reps, I could see him starting in a year.

Very true! where the heck did Houston come from anyways? You just might have something in him! He definitely has that effort thing down pat!

Is hard to tell cos the jets o-line was missing some guys...he could be a good starter at some point tho I think he'll be more a back up.As for us...we like Cutler but who knows who'll be there when we pick.

Ozzy rules!!

Go Italy 2006 world cup

Did anyone else notice the huge grin on Herm Edwards face at the close of the game.... He must have really been impressed with something!

Thanks for all the responses. As far as Houston goes, Jet fans have been excited about him too. I am hoping that Bollinger can be a #2 next year because Fiedler will be gone. Pennington is a huge question mark, even when healthy, so you never know. Some Jet fans hate Bollinger so much (1, he's young and a 3rd stringer and 2 because of blind loyalty to Vinny Testaverde), so I wanted Phin fans to weigh in a bit. Thanks again.

I wouldn't worry too much about what the fans like...... If he has a strong game against the pats, and who knows, pulls off a win... "fans" will change their minds pretty quick.
