I'm sure you guys have probably already talked about this somewhere but i'm wondering why pat devlin didnt get drafted?

Dolphins agreed to terms with former Delaware QB Pat Devlin.

Devlin had one of the worst offseasons of any player we've ever seen, completing just 2-of-7 passes in the Shrine Game and showing up 30 minutes late to his Pro Day. That being said, he has the size and ability to make a roster as a backup quarterback. With Tyler Thigpen expected to leave and Chad Pennington gone, Devlin will have a solid chance to stick in Miami.

just had a bad string of performances leading up to the draft. The pre-draft stuff is very important and can kill or create stock.
 
Most people saw him as a late round pick, but I think he pissed off a lot of people when he showed up more than 30 minutes late for his pro day and then performed poorly as well.

At one point he was actually regarded as a potential 2nd or 3rd round pick.
 
might have cost him some serious $$$$$$$$$ for being late 30 mins.i would like to see him win the #2 n if orton gets here i still would like him around
 
A lot of draftniks were talking him up as a sleeper before the weak offseason performances. Supposed to be plenty accurate - which might be all you need with possession weapons like Marshall/Bess/Bush. He'll have plenty of chances to compete since Henne/Moore hardly have anything locked up.
 
cant wait to see him in action in the pre season.this guy could be a dark horse
 
Terrible draft evaluation process. If it could go wrong, it did for Pat Devlin.

It happens a lot when you have 25 different people giving you 25 different avenues of advice, and pulling you 25 different ways. I see it happen to prospects every year..
 
I've never seen Devlin play before.. all I've heard is what I've read on here, but since I am not the HC or FO and since I'm totally bored today, I'm willing to cut Henne today and announce Devlin as the front runner for QB...
