question on email notfication:

everytime im subscribed to a thread i recieve numerous emails notifying me of a reply. how do i stop this? (sorry if it is a stupid Q)

Go to your User CP. Then go to Edit Options. Scroll down to the Default Thread Subscription Mode. Change the box to Do not subscribe or No email notification.
