For some reason, media and press do not question Sparano on why he is such vehemently against going with a 5 Wideout set to counter the blitz and pass rush. Apparently, the extra TE that is brought in motion along with the 2 backs in the backfield to stop the blitz is providing minimal protection. Spreading out the field with 5 Wide would prevent teams from blitzing from the edge and the house blitz. I really am curious why we do not do this.

Because we don't have 5 WRs, so if we did it we would have either 3 WRs and 2 TEs or 4 WRs and 1 TE. The problem is no matter what package we put in there 3 of our WRs and both TEs are so slow they would basically cover themselves by the traffic they cause.

Exactly, I do not understand instead of going 5 WR and activating Turner or even lining up Brown/Williams at the SE spot. Instead, we line up Fasano or Haynos, the two slowest players on the field.

Teach Pat White to be a WR and I'm all for it.

Turner is even slower! I struggle with this guy, there was a lot of questions about his production in college. The fact that he can't get playing time in our receiving corp which is one of the least productive in the league speaks volumes.

Lol@ teach Pat White to be a WR..how about putting thigpen out there since you want to talk about putting qbs at receiver.. Im sure its a joke though..Its just not funny when our WR situation is so weird.

I and the team are much more comfortable putting Haynos, Polite, and Fasano with 2 our WR's in our 5 WR set that we run .005% of the time. We are not like other teams, we dont like big plays and do not like to stretch the defense. You would think we would run it then but we like to abandon that at critical times in the game. Also if one of our WR's are hurt its ok because they dont catch anyway.

You want to do this because........

our WR's suck?

our pass protection is weak?

Henne's basically a rookie and you want him to fail?

Your bored with nothing else to complain about?

I dont think Henne is going to get any better than what we see now. His weaknesses arent coachable.
