Taking into account team needs and possible rewards
Round 1. Cam Newton, QB, Auburn
Plain and simple, the guy is explosive. He has some mechanics to work on, but when he does, the sky is the limit. He's accurate as is, but his footwork hampers that a bit...if he fixes that, it's a wrap. 6'6", 250 lbs. quarterback with the ability to pass and run. My main question with him is the playbook he ran, but he eased that with his performance against South Carolina.
Round 3. Lance Kendricks, TE, Wisconsin
We need a tight end that can do it all. Kendricks is a solid blocker and can spread the field. Great size at 6'4", 240 lbs. Averaged 16 yards a catch this season with 5 touchdowns.
Round 4. Allen Bradford, RB, U.S.C.
If anyone saw the UCLA game, it's easy to see why Bradford is a solid selection. He's big (5'11", 235 lbs.) and fast. He is so patient and aware of his holes. He's a solid blocker as well.
