People seemed to enjoy this last time so here is a few more short blurbs on some players I have seen come up in discussion here.....

The Dolphins may now wait until they sign another veteran free agent before cutting Gus Frerotte.
Frerotte appears to be option number five or so at this point, so it appears to be only a matter of time before he's released. Mar. 9 - 9:55 am et

The Broncos are reportedly open to dealing one of their first-round picks to acquire John Abraham.
The new CBA should make it much easier for the Broncos to accomplish. Atlanta, Seattle, and Oakland are also believed to have interest. Mar. 9 - 9:45 am et

The Bears are expected to show interest in Adam Archuleta.
He played his best under Lovie Smith in St. Louis. The Redskins are also interested, but won't have as much money to spend. Mar. 9 - 9:39 am et

The Cardinals are the latest team to show interest in Kevin Mawae.
Mawae says he's mostly concerned about getting a ring, so he may only talk to the Cardinals to drive up his price. Mar. 9 - 9:15 am et

Kevin Mawae is interested in joining the Patriots.
Mawae said he is only loooking for a ring and not to break the bank. Despite his history with Scott Pioli, the presence of Dan Koppen makes Mawae an awkward fit for New England. Mar. 9 - 12:57 am et

Patrick Ramsey worked out for the Jets Wednesday.
Whether it's Jon Kitna or Ramsey, New York is getting veteran competition for Chad Pennington. We're not sure where that leaves Jay Cutler. Mar. 9 - 12:19 am et

The Dolphins don't appear interested in having Gus Frerotte back, even as a backup.
That can't be good for the ego. Frerotte was former offensive coordinator Scott Linehan's acquisition, so perhaps he can go to St. Louis. Mar. 8 - 9:24 am et

The Giants are set to make an offer to CB Sam Madison.
Madison, 32 in April, would fit in well as a cover corner. His agent Drew Rosenhaus confirmed that "there's a mutual interest." Mar. 7 - 10:13 am et

A source close to Drew Brees says his first free agent visit will be in Miami.
Brees has reported his surgery recovering from a torn labrum (shoulder) has been going well and Dr. James Andrews has him on a program that is expected to allow Brees to start throwing by May. Mar. 7 - 9:44 am et

The San Diego Union-Tribune continues to report that the Packers are interested in Drew Brees.
Wonder how Brett Favre would like that offseason move? It's hard to imagine Brees entering such an uncertain situation. Mar. 5 - 11:01 am et

The Vikings are reportedly looking to make a strong run at QB Drew Brees.
The report comes from Sid Hartman, so take it with a grain of salt. But Vikings new VP of player personnel Fran Foley came from San Diego, so there is a natural fit if Daunte Culpper is jettisoned. Mar. 5 - 9:28 am et

Minneapolis Star Tribune (registration required): "The Vikings have attempted to gauge the interest in Culpepper among other teams, but the knee injury makes it unlikely they would get much in return. Baltimore and Miami have been mentioned as potential suitors, but the Ravens are believed to be concerned about his health and the Dolphins appear to have turned their interest to soon-to-be free agent Drew Brees."

St. Paul Pioneer Press (scroll down) (registration required): "It will be interesting to see whether the Vikings make a deal for quarterback A.J. Feeley, who played for Childress in Philadelphia and now is with the San Diego Chargers, for whom Vikings vice president for player personnel Fran Foley worked before coming to Minnesota."

Philadelphia Daily News (scroll down) (registration required): "When free agency finally starts tomorrow or Saturday, look for the Eagles to announce more signings, probably including center LeCharles Bentley and quarterback Jeff Garcia, sources close to the situation suggest... Kansas City seems to be emerging as (Terrell Owens') most likely destination."
