Saw this quick note by Tim Graham in a chat about Wake

Bill (York, PA): Speaking of the Bills trying, yet coming up short (again): What's your opinion of Cameron Wake? He didn't cost Miami a whole lot? In my opinion, he's a much better fit in Miami's 3-4 than in Buffalo's whateveryouwanttocallit. Your thoughts?

Tim Graham: I'm skeptical of any CFL Paul Bunyan story. I lived in Buffalo long enough and have spent enough time in Canada to know these tall tales pop up every year, but they're usually quarterbacks. That so many NFL teams were in pursuit of Cameron Wake leads me to believe there's something there. One person explained it to me as the team that signed him would be getting an extra first-day draft pick this year."

I LOVE IT! This front office is AMAZING!!

wow, people are giving him a very good grade... i knew he was promising but for GMs and coaches to rate him as a first day pick is pretty neat

It would be interesting to know who said that...i it was just some guy it doesn't really mean much. But I'm holding out hope he turns into a beast.

he said Camarillo was the most underrated player in the NFL

Make that a 27 year old draft pick. :)

It is interesting that he had so many teams chasing him and the contract he got was high for a CFL prospect.

Keep in mind about Tim Graham though, he use to be a Miami beat writer and he still tends to show positive bias toward stuff involving the Dolphins.

CKP, what was the deal with James Harrison? if he had been a decent ST player would he have stuck and blossomed earlier?

If you get the chance, pickup the Sports Illustrated Super Bowl Preview. Neat feature on Harrison.

The jist of it was that he was undersized by Steelers' standards and couldn't grasp the 3-4 zone-blitz schemes of Dick LeBeau and was subsequently cut three separate times by the Steelers. He was signed by the Ravens, got cut from them, and was about to give up football when the Steelers called him back.

He stuck as a wedge buster on the '05 Super Bowl team, and won the starting job having mastered LeBeau's schemes after Joey Porter came to Miami.

He's been an underdog from the beginning as he was a walk-on at Kent State.

yeah, at least 10 teams were after him, and Buffalo was definitely one of them (which i love making sure they dont get him too)... New England i believe was another too!!!

great character!!!

Hmm? So there may be some hope for Quentin Moses yet. This also gives me hope that we don't spend the #25 pick on another OLB pass rusher. I'm hoping we select Hakeem Nicks (if he's still there)...

Hey, Chris, what do you think of MIA's chances at drafting Hakeem Nicks at #25? Are you on the "another OLB" at #25 wagon?

Cam equal to a first day pick?? Nice!!!!!! I think the bigger story is how our division rival Bills continue to let talent elude them due to being cheap, keep up the good work Buffalo!!

17 teams were after him.

Like some have said, if he pans out, this ...not could...WILL be the biggest steal since Zach Thomas.
