Mods/Admins...Just wondering if you have an eta of when it is going to be finished?

Thanks.

It isn't finished?

What else is in the plans?

My only complaint is I downloaded "Tapatalk" application for my iTouch and a few days later the latest conversion blocks access to this site.

I do want say I think the Mods/Admins do a GREAT job with finheaven overall!!

Finished? I don't know if it'll ever be "finished" there will come a point where most of the stuff thats being done will be small and unnoticable, but finished? I'll assume you mean, when will it be fully functional? Pretty soon. Things are happening and planned to really bring it all together.

RoadRunner, I don't think many would argue that the old look had 'grown' on all of us, in fact i've mainly tried to hold true to the old look while bringing some "new" to this page. the look isn't finished, but its close. some formatting here, a border there, some spacing on the topside, etc etc. Fin-atic has some plans for bringing some new looks to various places, I'm sure there will be some optional styles also. As to bringing back the old finheaven look? IDK... i've discussed some of that with other forum webmasters and basically 4.0 is a whole new beast. 3.7 (our old version) had different styles that are incompatable with 4.0 and to "force" 4.0 to resemble 3.7 in the header area for example, would require extensive rewriting of the CSS code and styleVars setup.

Have you tried it today? I just updated it last night to work with 4.0.3. And thank you for the compliement!

my only knock (well not knock, but question) is that the screen doesnt automatically fit anymore when I resize the window. The posts and fonts kinda crunch together, overlap and dont resize to fit in the whole post window horizonatally. Instead they squeeze vertically and make the post box very long when I drag and resize. That was what drove my inquiry

I have it set so that it "spans" the width of the screen. I felt this was the best solution for people using higher resolutions. I may try a fixed format or even offer another "skin" that is fixed at some point. right now... I'm afraid it'll be a minor annoyance. :(

So far I haven't minded the new look. I know that not being able to change sigs (yes I am gonna beat that horse again) is quite annoying. But I just discovered the advanced header earlier this morning and I really like the way it looks. It flows really nice with the new layout. But I have confidence in the web team that in the end this will all be one lean, mean, forum machine by the end.

the only thing stopping me from making the "advanced header" the forum default is that i've read where other forums have had issues with it not working correctly for IE7.0. I mean I could just worry about the IE 8. and firefox etc users but still...

gotcha... I noticed the page links at the bottom of pages are now gone and we have to scroll back to the top to go to the next page. Is this just temporary?

the "top" link is still there... unless your usergroup doesn't have permission to see it. back to top.png

actually, i cant see it. would you be able to add this to my profile?

if you can't see that one. there is one on the very bottom below the quick reply box. back to top.png

I just checked, regular forum users should have no problem seeing both of those links back to the top.
