- Makes the first point of the Conference that he takes full ownership of the timeout and it kept him up at night. Says that the organization and players WILL TAKE Ownership of everything that happened.

- Says Ginn is improving. Makes valid point with an example that Ginn is getting behind coverage in a hurry and we are not putting the ball where it needs to be sometimes.

- Also tried his absolute hardest not to dog on Ginn to the media. You could see that he wanted to say that Ginn needs to make a god damn play on the ball, yet he didn't insult his players in public.

- Says Hartline will get more playing time

- Will Allen is out for the year.

- Does not know how Vontae and Sean will do with in terms of endurance of a long schedule. Does know he has two bright smart players who have a high passion for winning and football.

- Says Henne made a great pass to Ginn where Ginn bobbled the ball.

- Kept him up at night that the team collapsed in the 4th quarter and usually their mojo is playing great in the 4th.

- Addressed Gibril and said that he missed tackles but so did everyone else. Hates when players miss tackles and everyone did, not just Gibril.

- Said Clemons played 23 plays and did pretty good out there. Did good on punt return and slowed down the returner in a hurry at the 20 yard line. Said that he will see what will happen from here with the injuries, but it looks like Clemons will get more PT

I really question why he wasn't chewing on Henning in that headset! He should have put a stop to the play calling in the 3rdqt he is the HC he has veto power!

I did not hear the conference, but your summary encourages me. I knew he would not criticize Ginn publicly, and that is a good thing. His comment about Hartline and his comment about the pass from Henne that Ginn bobbled says everything about his current opinion of Ginn's play.

thats whats so ****ing frustrating with ginn, his first two years, the story was his route running was terrible and he couldnt get open, but he was making all the catches. Now this year he seems to be getting open, but he cant catch the damn ball. His confidence is shot. I hope he can somehow pull it together, but i highly doubt it.

I don't want him insulting players to the media, but take care of this behind the scenes. make some game day changes and hold Ginn and Wilson accountable.

Right on the money. It was coaches speak for "Ginn sucks and we're going to do something about it."

so true, i dont know what happened but its killing us now...

but some encouraging stuff from Tony... just gotta keep chugging along and get us ready to sweep the Jets

top-shelf post...but on Gimp ya gotta see it for what it is. defenders don't have to game-tape him much, he only runs 4 patterns. two are go's (9 & 7), one's a dig, and the end-around. ever notice that the receiver screens never go to Ginn? hands of stone and small testicles (sideline jumper).

"Kept him up all night."

As fans, I don't know that we will ever understand how a loss like this just crushes a player and coach. We tend to second guess, share our opinion etc., but I doubt most of us know what it's like to lose as a player an a coach on this level.

The season is certainly not over but we need to start winning now. That having been said my expectation was always that we would move into the top echelon of teams next year ( the cupboard was pretty bare when the Front Office took over). Glad Tony took the high road that should keep the players behind him but at some point Ted Ginn doesn't need to be thrown under the bus he needs to be held there and have Tony drive back and forth over him. He certainly didn't loose that game by himself but as a friend of mine (who rarely watches football) said yesterday during the game "YOUR RECIEVERS SUCK".

regardless of what routes hes running... hes getting open constantly... now hes just not catching the ball

Am I the only one somewhat encouraged by this game?? Trust me, I'm hurtin' like every other Fin fan and thought we should have won this game. But in reality, we hung with the best team in football and baring a few mistakes, we beat them bad. Our team is young and they showed it yesterday. But they also showed that we can be really good. A lot of the mistakes that were made are correctable...concentration issues mostly. We're on the right track, these young guys are going to make mistakes, but they are going to keep getting better and that, to me, is encouraging.

I want to see Cam and Hartline starting, with bess in the slot and ginn for deep threats here n there. say what you want about speed i dont care - Camarillo is the best WR on our squad if he had a big play guy he'd be one of the most clutch in the league. and hartline is just a young buck who is shaping up real good - he and Henne should have a long future together. im pissed but cant say im not excited about this team.

Coach wasn't the only one who lost sleep after this disaster... I woke up at 4:30 this morning and couldn't get back to sleep for 2 hours thinking about how this one got away.
