Quickie Review

Well, CamRan accomplished several things they said they wanted to.
They added offensive speed with Ginn & Booker.
The built from the middle with Satele/Mormino on one side & Soliai on the other.
They got the QB they wanted.
And just for fun they got an elephant FB who can actually catch the ball.
Plus they did what you should do in the 7th, which is add ST help.
And had a great 2nd round.

Having said all that, this draft will go up or down a full grade depending on whether Ginn becomes a #1 receiver or mostly a KR specialist. A top ten pick should get you the former, unless you've already got a Marvin Harrison or someone of that caliber.

One thing's for sure, they definately added a few to the South Florida Polynesian population. Who's gettin' a tribal tatoo?

good points. With the addition of Joey Porter on defense and the draft with tons of speed and hopefully R Williams, our team is deeper and faster. Also props to our front office for not giving in to KC for green.

I actually like what the fins did in this draft. At first I hated not picking Quinn but I trust Muller knows what he is doing. Love the FB addition Slechenger is getting a little old.

To justify not taking Quinn, its actually Beck that needs to prove himself, not Ginn. That is why we passed on Quinn. I like the draft, I don't love the draft but we will see. I see what Cam Ram are trying to do but will it translate on the feild?

For better or worse, Ginn was our 1st round pick. And you don't spend a top ten on a special teamer. We needed a #1 receiver, which you should expect to get out of a WR at #9. If he doesn't eventually start at WR, it's a bust. And a reach at best if he becomes only the #3 guy. You can get those in later rounds. You don't grade your first round pick by what you did in another round.
Not taking Quinn might turn out to be a smart move if Beck pans out, but that doesn't make the guy we did take in the 1st a smart pick, only Beck.
