We supposedly are the frontrunners for Manning but no news of any contact as of yet from Dolphins. Jets, Seahawks and Broncos have already inquired. We need to step it up. I hope we don't get disappointed again.

Could be a good thing we were all over Harbaugh and that didnt work out for us. I agree though I hope we aren't dissappointed.

Who knows, maybe we don't want him.  Maybe Ireland has managed to convince Ross that Philbin wants Flynn and that he should listen to his newly acquired coach.  Maybe any Manning to Miami rumors are to lower Flynn's price.  Maybe Dolphins medical staff is screwing it up again.

Or, perhaps we already have an agreement in principle with Manning.  I think if Ross/Ireland really want him, there has been contact already.  Yes, that would be tampering.  But in reality it's how things get done.

word is Dan the man was waiting for him at his front stoop when he got home.

We'll have to wait and see, I really hope we can land P. Manning.

Someone on the NFL Network says he doesn't see P. Manning flying to five different NFL cities in the upcoming week to be wined and dined. I agree. I think Peyton probably has it narrowed down to maybe a couple places and he could make his decision without visiting anyone. I don't think it will come down to money....it will come down to where he feels deep down that he can win.

I think it would be pretty classless of us to go after him the day he's released. He's going through some tough times. We've already done some tasteless things in that sort in the past, so I'm happy we're approaching it a different way now.

that's a good thought. I never thought about that. He knows we're interested. He knows we'll call. Really no rush.

There's a strategy to this that I'm sure Philbin, Ireland and Ross have discussed weeks ago about how to approach Peyton. I won't be surprised if we hear nothing tomorrow and then Friday they begin their recruiting efforts.

The fanbase, including myself, wants him signed NOW, but we need to have patience and do this the right way.

If we get Manning i hope we still go after a QB in the draft.............or my boy at #8
