Quinn Ewers signs 4 year contract

Much rather have Ewers than Sanders. I already have so much resentment towards the Dolphins, had they drafted Samders, I may have officially turned in my fan card.
I don’t have resentment for us. Disappointed in Grier, McDaniel, and in fact Ross with costing us a draft pick.

I am rather pessimistic about the upcoming season. Maybe worried or not expecting too much is better phrasing

I hope im wrong about Ewers, but I've always thought he was gonna end up selling insurance soon after his college career ended.

He's never impressed me and I've watched more Texas games the last two seasons than any other college team, trying to get a glimpse of Manning. Ewers never impressed me for one second.
Same. Dude seemed destined to roam nfl franchises as a 3rd/practice squad qb

I believe he will make about a 1 million a year over for years. Be smart with your money and he will probably make more then all of us.

I hope you’re wrong too…! I was impressed with him…who beats Alabama and Michigan on the road by double digits?

It’s interesting that you only choose the negative or the mistakes… and don’t recognize that I openly said don’t draft the injury prone Tua? I guess you’ve been perfect on every opinion you’ve had?

You have to be realistic… They completely botched the 2020 mega draft and the and the build of this current version? They now have to shut themselves of several overpriced players including the QB?… and that’s going to take time.?

lol going back to a quote from 6 years ago pretending to make a point is wild

I hope you are wrong, we all do.
My question, and it can’t really be answered, is what if we had taken Sanders at 144 and then used the Ewers pick (#231?) on DL, OL, CB, or S. Which way would have been better?
Having Ewers and the people they have is better than Sanders and the alternative reality. No doubt. Sanders won’t work hard enough to make it — the Browns wasted a pick

Ewers was a good college QB. What we don’t really know is if the injuries were a true driver of his inconsistencies. My hunch is they were. I don’t know what else would describe the varying arm strength throughout his career. Sometimes he could stand in the pocket and throw decisively over the middle, outside the numbers. Other games the ball died in the air and no way is that arm gonna be good enough in the NFL. Playing through injuries and holding off a notorious recruit like Arch like he did though is impressive. I guess we will see what his true arm strength is like in the league.
My take is what looks like healthy ewers has plenty of arm and that durability is the hold up

That offense is a mimick of ours and it’s tough to get a read at times on the QB bc situationally there is so many manufactured touches or 1-2 read concepts. He had a couple huge road wins and the dagger in OT against Arizona state. Thats good stuff
