[After pulling out of the game late in the process, Brady Quinn of Notre Dame stepped in front of a small gathering of the media here Sunday night. Quinn explained the injury was a bursar sac in his right knee and was recommended to sit this one out by renowned orthopedist Dr. James Andrews. While many are still skeptical about the whole situation Quinn hung around for two days and interviewed with NFL teams, facing the music. /QUOTE]

When i played in high school, i had an inflamed bursa, called bursitis. To be honest it only hurts when you play for a long time.. i got two cortizone shots, it while it took the pain away for 2 months at the most for me, it doesnt help. I know the doctors of the nfl know more but imo healing time is the best way to go. sometimes it still hurts when i started playing basketball.. just thuoght id share that..

Unlike Daunte, he's not overly reliant on a knee. He uses his head more. The bursar sac shouldn't be a long lasting problem unless there was structural damage. It's not as bad as say tearing an ACL.
