Chad Henne last week seemed improved on ball fakes during a play action pass. it was almost like a coach was making sure that BOTH the QBs and the RBs were carrying out the fake. I thought the new coaching was showing.

I had thought that in the past Chad Henne was really the guy not carrying out the fake. But I've changed that opinion. Watching last year's games also I saw that neither Ronnie or Ricky tried to carry out the fake.

And it takes two to carry out the fake.

Where it really hit me was watching R Bush is this game. He wants to get out in the pattern so quickly that he is moving away from Henne and the ball rather then moving to where Henne is offering the ball fake. On one of these plays R Bush caught a nice pass so he might now even need it but I hope our coaching talk to him about it.

I have to admit, I almost never seen R Bush play, but it seems like he almost cannot be covered. I just saw the 20 yard run that was negated by a penalty and R Bush made close to a Barry Sanders move on that run.

I'm noticing that we are running to the left a lot. A lot.

I have seen more of the wide pass routes by running back being ran. They are often open but they are the last option and Chad Henne was finding other players open first.

Our defense is running a number of twists with JT coming from the outside in. He is still fast and is even calling plays.

I just saw Devone Bess catch a long square in, Nate Moore mentions that it is a example of the C Gates effect (yea, I stole it).

Next play. C Gates is lined up to the left. The corner is pressing him. C Gates blow past the corner and then the safety as if the safety does not understand how fast Gates is moving. But once again, the ball is overthrown which is much better then being underthrown.

i find it interesting that C Gates is playing a outside WR mostly on the left side but everyone is moving. And I'm seeing patterns where the shortest option is 15 yards. We are often running pass plays where now our range for completing passes has jumped out 15-20 yards.

This is a huge change in offensive thinking for us.

I've seen were Chad Henne is ignoring open short routes and maybe even pressing the ball downfield. Like this pass to D Thomas deep downfield and C Gates was sitting open right in front of Chad Henne. You could see the play from Chad Henne's view, Gates was almost in his way but Chad Henne attempted a long pass.

Chad Henne has been given the OK to shoot at will. To play as a gunslinger.

I'm down with it. Just throw at least two TDs for every interception.
