Glenn Reeves, of MediaNews, reports the <A href="http://www.kffl.com/team/28/nfl">Oakland Raiders met with former College of San Mateo coach Tom Martinez Friday, Feb. 9, to discuss the team's quarterbacks coach position and LSU QB JaMarcus Russell, a projected top pick in the 2007 NFL Draft. Martinez was recently hired to work with Russell.

I still say wait until FA comes around and lets see what they do.....
 
Maybe they can go after Plummer. I think if that happens then Russell we fall futher down and hopefully make Quinn there for the taking at 9
 
Ill tell you this much as of now, Schaub, Garcia, Plummer, Huard and possibly Leftwich will all be playing for different team next year..... So you never know I certainly hope they jump on one of those players..... If not them atleast the Browns, Texans, Viking, and Lions......

It likely comes down to leftwich and darkhorse Schaub. But neither are FAs, they'd have to be acquired through trade.

Garcia, maybe-maybe not, Plummer yes, Huard-Leftwich probably, but Schaub aint going anwhere. He is staying in Atlanta. He is their insurance policy with Vick. I think i already heard on tv a few times that Schaub will stay with the falcons.
 
the fans of oakland would love jake plummer. But I can't see it happening.
 
The Raiders need a quarterback if they thinkn russell is the best amn for the job why not select a guy that has huge upside even though they dont select quarterbacks in the first round.

Russell has all the tools to be a top notch quarterback in the NFL if he keeps to a solid work eithic
 
Some team will trade for Schaub, would it suprise you to see Moss go to Atl for Schaub and a pick.... All know is the Raiders dont draft QB's in the 1st rd, but we will see...

Raiders drafting Russell is almost a lock. Al Davis loves big cannon-armed QB's with questionable decision making.

Todd Marinovich and Marc Wilson are two that come to mind off the top of my head, so don't think it's a slam dunk they won't, especially since Russell would fit the vertical game Davis loves better than Schaub would.
