I'm surprised with all these quarterback threads I've been reading, Patrick Ramsey's name hasn't came up. He's got a strong arm. I'm not campaigning for him. I just thought his name is just one that didn't come up in all the speculation.

The Funny thing is...

I think he's gonna be in a dolphin uni next year. Washington's going to unload him because of his salary and Campbell and his trade value is low, so I won't be suprised if he's outright released.

he's young and got the arm but I definitely dont think he's our answer. The guy has had several shots to maintain the job with the Skins but just cant seem to maintain enough compusure to play at the pro level. He makes some very poor choices and gets all antzy in the pocket. He may have some potential but I dont think he's the guy to invest money into.

I think hes worth looking at because hes got a huge upside. But he seems to make too many stupid mistakes :shakeno:

i dont know if it was a 1st or not but wanny definitely was offering something for the guy. Heh that in itself may be a reason not to even look at the guy.

that's what I was thinking

Ramsey in his rookie year was throwing the ball really good but had bad coaching with Spurrier. You know I actually forgot all about him and would be nice to see him next year. Very nice arm.

Ramsey has a cannon for an arm but really poor descision making. I'm a big Patrick Ramsey supporter but i have doubts about his ability to stay calm in the pocket.

Ramsey should get a look, what if his problem was coaching?? Another player we should look at is Josh McCown. He's got a good arm just needs good players around him. He might be worth a look.

Im all over Ramsey. If we dont draft a QB high, then I hope we get him. He went to Tulane in New Orleans while Saban was at LSU, so Im sure Saban is quite familiar with him.

Ramsey is awful as a starter, maybe as a backup, but definately not a starter.

How is Ramsey any better than the QBs we currently have on the roster? Can someone outline how he would be an upgrade over our current combo of Gus and Sage?

I don't dislike him, I just don't see him as an improvement.

For some reason Ramsey reminds me of Feeley. Good arm, but terrible pocket awarenness and decision making.
