Was having a conversation with a buddy of mine and he asked what Marino was doing these days. I told him of his advisory role and then I got to thinking. If he's advising, what in the **** is he advising? And why the **** hasn't he advised the right moves and or personnel? Just what in the **** is he actually doing and how much blame of this **** show is on him... if any?

Not any blame on Dan. I’m sure he has some input but if you look at the structure inside the organization, it looks like his role is more aesthetic than anything. Simply having Dan around the organization is GOOD for the organization in general.

Yep, this about sums it up, and it's common with sports teams around the world. There may be the odd occasion when Ross asks him what he thinks of something, but largely it's a 'smile for the cameras on game day' type role.

He was given a chance to have power in the organization years ago and quit after a day or two. He didn't want to put in the work it would take to be good at it.

I wish i could get paid for that.

The team hired him to team up with a private eye to find the mascot. Top secret stuff can't say anymore.
