Lets just say Daunte is ready by game 3, does anyone think Randy McMichael has a chance to be the leading Tight End in the NFL in terms of receptions, yards and touchdowns. Now I think the yardage part isnt out of the question or the touchdowns. but it always seems Gonzalez is up there in catches, also if you look at other premier TE's today Gates, Gonzalez, Crupler, Whitten, and there are others but they all either have a new starting QB, a aging QB or a mediocre passing QB, I think McMike finally has the chance to become the #1 TE in the league, plus he is a great guy I had an opportunity to meet him at Fort Lauderdale's Riverfront. If anyone is planning to visit south florida you should definetly stop by Las Olas Riverfront. I lived in Fort Lauderdale the majority of my life and atleast twice a month I went to Riverfront, wether it is for food or for a few casual drinks or even a great club or two.

Was this an advertisement for the restaurant or just the fact that Randy can be better then all the above mentioned TEs?

Randy's biggest problem, is dropping passes. Until he can start catchin more that is thrown at him, he will never be an elite TE. With that being said I think he is a top 10 TE even w/ the drops, so hopfully he can figure out how to cut down on the drops.

Rvierfront is amazing if you are in Lauderdale you need to visit. Max's is an amazing restaurant, pre hurricanes 2 years ago it had a normal priced menu, after the canes the owner dropped all means to $7.95! Filets that were $25 are now $7.95, it was initially done to help out people, but it went over so well the prices stayed at $7.95. Also, best bar in Riverfront is Automatic Slims, if you like girls half naked dancin on bars!

another problem with those other teams is that they dont have a premier WR.... we do... so that takes away from randys catches...

Yeah bro i love Riverfront. Everytime i go i either hit up Automatic Slims which is a really good bar. Another place i noticed alot of Dolphins hang out is The Hard Rock Casino. I saw Jason Taylor there a while back. About Mcmike i think he is going to step it up big time this year because we have some more tight ends to use for protection like Justin Peele. Mcmike will be able to run some routes and will get some more opportunities to catch the football.

YOU SAID IT!

DOLPHIN23, Riverfront isnt a restaurant, it is a place that has a bunch of different restaurants and clubs, so if I was advertising or pushing a restaurant than I would have named some, like automatic slims or Dan Marinos Town Tavern or Hooters. Now you can say its an advertisement.

I just hope he is Miami's Jermaine Wiggins!!

Not in Mike Mularkeys offense he won't lead the league.
Actually Mularkey's offense centers on getting the TE involved. He used a lot of two TE sets in Pitt and they TE's got a lot of plays. Plus he was a TE himself, so he's a bit partial to the position. Buffalo never had a TE who was worth anything so I'm sure that limited the plays during his tenure there. Look for things to change in Miami. Additionally, Culpepper likes going to the TE more than most QBs (see Jermaine Wiggins, another GA Bulldog). I think Randy will be just fine this year. He started off last year, but fell off due to some dropped passes and because he was asked to block more. Now with the additions of Peelle and Heinrich, Randy won't be blocking as much and he'll have more opportunities to make plays. I think this will be his best season as a Phin.

I don't think McMike will ever be the leading TE in most categories mainly because Miami doesn't tend to feature their TE position the way they do in KC and San Diego with Gates and Gonzalez. I would just like to see McMike hold on to the ball more. He often makes a spectacular catch and then drops a routine throw. The Riverfront sounds like a great place...I'll have to check it out next time I am in the area.

randy mcmichael is a TE version of TO, big fast, loves to block, has that swagger, and can bang with the best of them, once he gets a superstar QB like my homeboy PEP, R-MAC and CC will get 1000 yard seasons and rip it up, all day everyday.

I think there are numerous reasons why McMichael has a great chance of being one of the NFL's premier TE.

#1 - Phillip Rivers - This guy is practically a rookie. He will have to develop the QB-TE relationship that Gates had with Brees. There is a chance though that Rivers may succeed much like Carson Palmer did in his first full season as a starter.

#2 - Gonzo's age and K.C's lack of a WR - Tony is still a stud but he is getting older. I don't know if he is going to be able to put up numbers like he has in previous years. K.C. doesn't have a viable deep threat on their roster and that allows defenses to focus on Tony. (They do have a great running game which will help)

#3 - BROWN PEPPER - The addition of Culpepper and the emergence of Ronnie as a great RB will allow Miami to spread the field and thus more passes to Mr. McMichael
