Rank what you think are the Dolphins top off-season moves. With #1 being what you think is the best off-season move.

Here's mine:

15. Signing David Martin
14. Releasing Culpepper, Harrington, McMichael, K. Carter, J. James, D. McIntosh
13. Drafting Soliai
12. Signing Az-hakim
11. Drafting Booker
10. Drafting Satele
9. Trading a conditional 5th round pick for Trent Green.
8. Signing Cory Schlesinger
7. Drafting Beck
6. Drafting Ginn
5. Re-signing Vonnie Holiday
4. Re-signing Keith Traylor
3. Signing Joey Porter
2. Trading Welker for a 2nd and 7th round draft choice
1. Signing Cam Cameron

Very interesting thread Ludacris. Lemme think...

1a. Hiring Cam Cameron
1b. Giving Randy Mueller official GM power
1c. Letting Saban walk - good coach, awful talent evaluator/decision maker
2. Drafting John Beck
3. Signing Joey Porter
4. Drafting Samson Satele
5. Trading Welker for the 2nd rounder that got us Satele
6. Signing David Martin - a very underrated move IMO.
7. Acquiring Trent Green
8. Signing Cory Schlesinger
9. Drafting Ted Ginn
10. Releasing the likes of McIntosh, James, McMichael, Anderson, Jacox, etc.
11. Moving Vernon Carey from RT to LT
12. Re-signing Yeremiah Bell
13. Drafting Paul Soliai
14. Re-signing Cleo Lemon
15. Singing Jay Feely

ok ill give u my top 5

1.drafting beck
2.signing cameron
3.trading for green
4.giving Mueller power
5.releasing mchmichael(saves alot of money on a guy that is way overated.

I liked Saban leaving
cutting: culpepper, harington, mare, mcmichaels,
keeping dom

I chose not to comment on new talents brought in until Ive seen them perform

#1 Giving Alabama 5 mil to take Saban away !
#2 Giving Porter 30 mil to beat down Levi !
#3 Giving the cops 50 mil to say Chambers passed his DUI test !
P.S. Im a little drunk. : )

1. Retaining Dom Capers as DC (most underrated move of the offseason.. keeps our defense in tact and aging vets happy)

2. Cam/Mule signing/extension

3. Passing on Brady Quinn

4. Signing Joey Porter

5. All the draft picks, especially Regean "The Juggernaut" Mauia

Now my top 5 WORST moves:

1. Letting Dante Stallworth and Kelly Washington both sign w/ the Communists

2. Thinking it was a good idea for Cam to speak at the draft party.

3. Allowing Carl Peterson to get a 4th rounder out of us for TG

4. Getting NOTHING in return but a little bad PR for Culpepper

5. Not addressing the LG position (hopefully Kendall will fix that)

1. giving Mueller the power
2. signing Cameron
3. drafting Beck
4. retaining Dom Capers
5. getting a 2nd rounder for Welker
6. getting rid of the 'dead wood'(McMike and Co.)

Trent Green is #1. Your starting QB makes or breaks your team

GREEN AND BECK SHOULD BE HIGHER TOO...:cooldude:

How about moves that you don't really like, though?

1. Firing Dan Quinn

2. Not addressing the secondary in FA/Draft

3. Not finding someone to be Offensive Coordinator

4. Allowing Jason Garrett to leave

5. Cutting Kevin Carter/Re-Signing Vonnie Holliday (I thought it should be the other way around)

6. Cutting Randy McMichael

7. Letting David Bowens walk

1. Signing Cameron
2. Drafting Beck
3. Signing Joey Porter
4. Trading Welker
5. Releasing Harrington
6. Drafting Satele
7. Re-signing Traylor
8. Demoting Mularkey

They had no choice about Garrett. He got promoted in his job with the Cowboys. It would have been different if it was a lateral move. I tend to agree about McMichael though, I hope David martin proves me wrong.

They didn't have 'no choice' with Garrett. They could have offered him a promotion. Arguably, he deserved one.

And by the way, the Dolphins still had to give permission for him to interview for that Cowboys job and when they took him, they did not guarantee him the OC position. He signed on as QBs coach until they could sort out their head coaching situation and decide what would happen with Garrett as the OC. When he hired him, Jerry Jones just noted that the most important thing was getting Garrett attached to the organization, and then they'd find a role for him. If they hired Norv Turner as their head coach, Garrett was not going to be the play caller.
