Interested in seeing what people think in this regard, I am listing QB qualities and I want you to rank them 1-8. 1 being the trait you want them to embody the most and 8 being the one you see as least important or one you can live without them having high end ability with.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

I think all of these are important skills to have but want to see how people regard particular qualities

Arm Strength
Accuracy
Mobility/Elusiveness
Mental Game/Football IQ
Intangibles (Leadership, Clutchness etc)
Footwork/Mechanics
Physical Build
Awareness

My EXACT list

It can be easy to forget amid all the complexities of the game...

The number 1 goal isn't to have good stats or look good, or simply win games....

The REAL goal is to WIN THE SUPER BOWL.
To be able to make clutch plays in clutch games,
to raise the level of ALL your teammates, on BOTH sides of the ball.
Personally speaking, I could care less about the Hall of Fame,
the Super Bowl is what really matters
 
A combo of each. I want a playmaker who makes chicken salad out of chicken **** when it gets ugly. Russell Wilson style. I want a winner with the winner attitude.

Two comments.
1) Given a QB average or above in all the traits listed, I'm going with ISS - "Mental Game/Football IQ/Awareness " Most QBs who fail in the NFL do so because of lack of the mental part.
2) A second question - even more important - is what traits do FH members think Flo will emphasize? Given his years with Brady, I think I know
 
It's a great question. We've seen all different types of quarterbacks succeed and fail in the NFL.

1. Mental game/football IQ
2. Accuracy
3. Mobility
4. Intangibles
5. Awareness
6. Footwork/mechanics
7. Arm strength
8. Physical build

In today's game, I think mobility is huge. So many big plays come off this trait.

Can you imagine combining Brady's skills with some mobility? I think that's what Flores wants.
 
1. Football IQ
2. Ability to execute a game plan

Nothing else matters because you can tailor an offense to a QBs skill set. See Tom Brady or Lamar Jackson. Once you have “the guy”, you have to see what his strengths are, build around him, and put him in the best situation to succeed.
 
Brady feds off Beli as does Beli on Brady. Both great fb minds and game plan like nothing I have seen.
 
To avoid total redundancy my top 3 are

Mental Awareness: including pocket elusiveness and ability to process information in microseconds to read the defenses

Intangibles: especially Leadership and Confidence like Mayfield showed at OU and Burrow showed the other night with his teammates carrying him off the field

Accuracy: Neither of the above have much use without it!

Elusive mobility
Can make reads in split seconds
Footwork
Accuracy
anticipation
Leadership
