Some interesting tidbits:

3) Miami Dolphins
There's an up-and-coming quarterback who still has some things to learn. There's an owner, Stephen Ross, who is willing to spend, though the money has not been prudently spent the last few years. The division offers an opportunity: Tom Brady can't play forever -- and Ryan Tannehill is the best young quarterback in AFC East.

PROS:
» Willing ownership.
» Quarterback with promise.
» Have only been in the playoffs once since 2002, so expectations are reasonable.

SF Con:

Need to address the quarterback position -- with or without Colin Kaepernick?

Cleveland QB note:

ohnny Manziel has, in his first two years, shown all the makings of a really entertaining Arena League quarterback. But in the modern NFL, you need a QB dedicated -- to an obsessive level -- to the game, and to studying, and to his teammates. It's safe to say Manziel has fallen well short of this standard.

Time to blame the messenger and disparage the source.

Uh-oh. Some people won't like that.

Thanks for posting. Seems like a reasonable ranking.

I would say

1. Gaints
2. Philly
3. Dolphins
4. Titans
5. 49ers
6. Browns

Not sure about Eagles at 2 though...I think the Titans would be intriguing to some... owner unwilling to spent.. well don't they have to spend now?

I think Jeff Lurie is a respected owner and their FO has been pretty stable.

I just hope the new HC is not bound to the abilities of Ryan Tannehill, he should have some leverage in that situation, take 2016 to evaluate the QB and either get on board with him from 2017 onwards or make plans to upgrade the position. With the way the contract has been drawn up that flexibility is there and should be a selling point to the next HC.

It's worth noting that all of these vacancies have real issues, many of them related to the front office. The Giants have the best ownership, but Reese is awful at his job.

I hope the new HC is bound to the abilities of Ryan Tannehill, although my opinion of his abilities may not be the same as yours. I do think they need to give the new HC and GM complete flexibility with the roster and the starting lineup.

Maybe I am just jaded for the way he handles the Marlins..

Isn't that Jeffrey Loria??

Different people: Jeffrey Loria and his son in law David Sampson are POS's. They used to own the Montreal team before it was contracted and bought the Marlins franchise from John Henry when he bought the Red Sox. Similar sounding names but in terms of ownership integrity, they are light years apart!

Yes yes my bad.. I still like our QB situation better though..

It's saddening that we can't pull away from the pack from that list of **** hole organizations (sans NY) .
