Rapid Reaction: Ten thoughts from Dolphins vs. Rams game

mike james ugh...didnt he get hurt again this year anyways??? that's awfully run of the mill but we arent exactly loaded at rb

I was stuck watching the KC game. That team seems to be loaded at rb.

hey Matt, good stuff man. dont let the kids get to ya. They dont like it when someone comes into their territory. lol

I say all accounts are worthy of reading so long as you make it readable. Which you did. I screw up names all the time. I certainly wouldnt hold it against you since you are trying to give us good insight on the fly overnight. Thanks. Much appreciated.

And I agree on most of what you say. Jordan at times looks disinterested but I think you saw what I did. Just a guy who knows he will be out the first 4 and probly just doing what the coaches expect of him. I still think Jordan will be a good football player but here he is going to be second fiddle because OV is just that good. I dont care about his draft status which is what everyone in creation will bring up all day every day of the week and that he belongs to Jeff Ireland. Well, he belongs to the Miami Dolphins.

Mccain will be used in packages and he really looks like a 3-4 LB to me. Belichick would snag him up because they run a hybrid. Their depth chart suggests 4-3 but half the time they are 3-4.

Hazel, a relatively small school unknown will definitely be poached if we try to practice squad him. Cleveland and Farmer are already salivating. If he could shine with Lobatomy, imagine how effective he could be with RT17. Lazor and his coaches watch him in practice and if they like what they see, IMO they may want to roster him instead of watching some other team benefit from the Fins scouting, training and showcasing.

Since I am getting blasted for the McCain not having endurance remark, let me clarify. In the beginning of the game and in the first quarter into the second, he was playing against a mix of first and second stringers. It was evident that he was having trouble keeping up.

Yes, he was a monster in the fourth quarter but take that into context. He was going up against a bunch of players who probably won't be on an NFL team on Saturday night. Of course he should dominate those guys.

McCain is going to be good. He just needs to learn how to be able to hang with the big boys throughout an entire game against an elite level of competition.

Sorry if you don't agree but it's how I feel.

hey Matt, they take it personal because they are experts. Your just a piece of crap...and I mean that in the most serious of sarcastic way I possibly can. CK left this site for a reason.

Mccain is an undrafted rookie. I would think people would step back and simply see what your trying to say which could probably be said for alot of our starters as well in 90 degree heat.

RB's - Moreno, Miller, Willaims, and Darkwa - Goodbye Thomas
TE's - Clay, Hoskins, and Miller
WR's - Wallace, Hartline, Landry, Matthews, Gibson, Hazel
QB - Tannehill, Moore

Hey Langer, did you forget about Simms, or are you not very high on him? Even though Simms did have that bonehead fumble against the Cowboys, of what I have heard, the team is very high on him.

I still need to see the pass-catching having improved from last year, but I have noticed he is finally living up to his rep on the blocking side. Simms could be a very good player for us to have in the redzone, we need as many big and consistent weapons as possible when we reach the redzone, our drives still stall way to much when we reach it, and it can't happen.

Nice write up....

McCain will get reps in packages, but doesn't have the all around game to be a starter....I know people like the "flash" plays he's made in some of the games, but he will find himself out of position just as often.
