Rasul Douglas and Jack Jones

I don't think OL is a priority atm. We don't have many high salaried players or departimg FAs and the scheme is staying the same. I know it's not ideal but I think the defense, a Tyreek replacement and some bodies at TE are more urgent.
I disagree. Fins must solidify that OL. It's been a weak spot for a long time.

I agree about trading Minkah. He only has 1 year remaining on his deal I believe. Maybe we could get a 3rd but probably a 4th is more likely.

He isn't the player he was a few years ago and we are at least 2 years away from competing for something meaningful.

He still plays one hell of a slot corner I can tell ya that. So when the safety thing goes if he wants to he has shelf life as a starting slot corner.

True but he is still expensive and we should be able to get a decent slot corner in the mid rounds. Heck Kohou was undrafted. So if we can get something for him now I would do it.

Yeah I’d trade him too. He’s probably the best walk up safety slot cover corner in the league though. He can lock 2 way go slots down. And that just doesn’t happen with starting every down safeties.

I just feel like we have to be realistic with where the roster currently stands and build towards the future with the hope that we can be relevant again in a couple years. We should move on from players who dont fit that timeline especially if we can get draft capital for them.

I don't get the obsession with age. Some seem to think Miami is an o-o-o-o-l-l-d team. Miami's average age is 25.3 - 11th youngest. NFL avg is 25.6.
In '25, Miami had 5 players 30 or older. Just in the AFC, 7 teams had 10 or more, 2 teams had 9. Youngest teams - NYJ 2, MIA and TEN 5, DEN 6. And every team wants a few vets scattered around to mentor the 'kids.' Yeah, get rid of old AND ineffective players, but age, by itself, means little.
Dougleass may not 'have it' to be a #1CB, but he can be a #2.
Yeah but what is the point of signing Douglas? Because we're going to the Super Bowl next year with Quinn Ewers?

Better off trying someone younger and see what you got

Have to strongly disagree, personally. OL/DL is the most important thing this team needs to get straight, as-is. They likely can't fix QB this year, so OL/DL is the next best thing. If you have a stellar OL, it can make an average QB look very good.

I'm pretty big on the "build inside-out" philosophy...but that's just me.

If we cut AJ, I hope we at least bring Borom back. Daniels doesn't save us anything if cut. I'd like to keep Strange too. Savy should remain the starter. You don't give up on 2nd rd rookies.

If anything I would bring in some depth. That's it.

Putting 53 NFL caliber players under our cap will be challenge enough without forcing attrition on the OL which wasn't all that bad.

Run blocking was good, pass blocking got better as the season went on.

It'd be cool if we traded down and picked two in the top 50.

The predictable and fashionable “Dolphins should trade down” take. Seemingly every wannabe weekend warrior GM says the same thing.

How about the Dolphins just do a better job making decisions and hitting on the picks they do have and perhaps they won’t need an abundance of them to compensate?

Stop gambling on developmental prospects they hope will work out and just draft passionate, physical football players that have proven they can play!

The Dolphins could have easily drafted Tyler Warren and Cam Skattebo last season — guys that can do a lot of different things, play with a physical edge, and just really love the game. Why the Dolphins seemingly always pass on those types of players puzzles me to no end.

Hopefully the new regime accepts the gifts that fall to them this time around.

The downside of his signing is his price. Obvious. OTOH, we don't know what the FO/Sully are thinking. Are they in tank/teardown mode? If not, they may want some pretty good players back to get some wins. Blasphemy to some, I know, but their goal may not be #1 pick

I think everyone needs to accept the fact that we are going to suck next year. Not saying we are tanking and won’t win some games, but it seems pretty obvious that we are rebuilding from the ground up. We will rid ourselves of old, expensive or unproductive players and are going with a youth movement. When Sully says we are going to draft and then keep our own players he means it.

Sully did say quality over quantity in his press conference.
