Rating the Quarterbacks - Yahoo Sports

Just an interesting article I read on Yahoo! sports about the main QB's in this years upcoming draft. Some interesting comments on JaMarcus Russel (LSU), Brady Quinn (ND), Trent Edwards(Stanford), Kevin Kold (HOU), and Drew Standon (MSU). I wouldnt mind seeing us pick up Stanton in the later rounds if he's available, and if we dont take Quinn in the first round. I think he'd be worth having on the roster to develop. Just thought some may find this article interesting.

I am still up for getting stanton but not until our 3rd pick which he might be gone by depending on his combine. i think he is the perfect gy to bring in and let Cam work with while he sits behind culpep and lemon. Then with our 1st and 2nd we can adress other positions besides QB maybe kalil in the second with a gaines adams in Round 1. I think he can play a rush LB in the 3-4 and eventually be JTs replacement. Itis all depends on his 40 and cone drills at the combine if he runs runs them which i think he has to because of the criticism he took for not competing in the senior bowl.

If Brady is gone, I'd like Stanton in the 2nd round. It's time to draft a first day QB.
 
stanton with our second right now is a reach unless he impresses at the combine. There are beter players that will be on the board at our second
 
Unless a MIRACLE happens and we land JaMarcus..I'd rather spend my pick elsewhere other than a QB(Or more specifically Brady Quinn)..Atleast until next year. Sorry, Brady doesn't impress me..not that it matters. I'm sure Cam doesn't come on here and read my material :wink: .

I agree, but if we go Tackle in the first by way of Levi Brown there won't be a bigger priority than a young QB to groom and as far as I can tell from this assessment and others, Stanton is the best of that remaining group.

If the combine see's him falling to the 3rd, even better.
 
I'm hoping for Quinn unless he gets taken then I'd be fine with Stanton later on.

I agree with what your saying but what im saying is we shoulnt reach for a need if there are better players on the board
