There is no way that Green will be the 'third corner' - for one, he's a safety. Unless you have just 2 corners on your team, you don't put a strong safety on the slot receiver - or outside guy if Surtain moves inside. Especially when you have a Thorpe award winning cover corner on your roster. Whilst Green has started well, NO-ONE puts a safety in the nickel unless they have moved from corner.

that's what the Fins are doing - they have made Ray Green (see avatar) a nickel back. The only other CB we have on the roster other than Fletch, Pat and Sam is Zebbie Lethridge and I have heard nothing of him and he is a converted QB. Green supposedly has the size and speed to match up ag. big WRs , not sure how he would do ag. a Crebet or Troy Brown though but we'll have al pre-season to find out. It s/b an interesting battle, but Ben Kelley and last year is still fresh enough in our minds to know that it will not be settled til sometime in August. :D
