RB - Aaron Jones, Jr., UTEP,...Jones rushed for a single-season school-record 1,773 yards, while climbing his way to the top of the program’s career-rushing 4114yrds. Jones averaged 7.7 yards on 229 carries and scored 17 rushing touchdowns (third most in program history). Jones is ranked third in the nation with his 147.8 rushing yards per game.

3rd day guy, unbelievable yrds after contact, refuse to go down guy. He wil remind you so much of Jay Ajayi. Insurance may be?

Jones' agent is one of the biggest names in the business, Leigh Steinberg, and Steinberg thinks Jones is a slam-dunk pro.

"He's a breakout back with good speed, good vision on the field," said Steinberg, who was at the announcement. "He'll get in the range of second to the fourth round. He's high character, he has a breakaway dimension. I've repped backs like Thurman Thomas, Edgerrin James, Ricky Williams, Warrick Dunn, he fits in with them nicely - a breakaway back with good hands and great vision. He's a dual threat."

If he's there, I will spend one of our 5s on him.

I think Jones could and should make an NFL roster this year, however if Miami were to add a back I"m looking for either a player with elite speed, quickness or power. I think Jones is a back that is NFL solid at several things but doesn't to seem to have that one tool that stands out from a crowd.

Would rather have a good NFL back regardless

But would you not want a player that is elite at something? I mean if you have choice between player a player who is good at things vs a player who is elite at something.

The perfect complement to Jay's power and physicality is someone that's elusive and can literally fly... Is that Aaron Jones?

RB is low priority with Ajayi, Drake, and Williams all on the roster. Too many other holes to patch.

The upgrade would be for Williams.

Much better to find a day 3 RB for 3 years/1.8 million over paying Williams 1 year/1.8 million.

Williams makes hella plays in the pass game for a running back tho man, be hard to replace than cheap.

I am not saying Williams womt go down without a fight, but I expect Drake will take a leap up in snaps and its more of a luxury to have a number three RB making 1.8. Most if not all teams have some sort of rookie contract guy in that role . . . Which Williams was for 3 years. Hell he could be had for nothing right now if a team made an offer but honestly guys like him are a dime a dozen.

We are set with our top 2 backs and I'm excited for the potential of playing both together. Drake can line up in a multitude of spots.
