RB Andre Hall released by Tampa Bay- should we pick him up to back up Ronnie Brown?

Minnesota, for example, released QB Barrick Nealy, while Tampa Bay released former star South Florida RB Andre Hall, as well as former West Virginia FS Jahmile Addae.

I think we're set with Morris right now, TC will let us know if we have to pick up any one else.

I wanted to sign hall insead of riggs after the draft. However i think riggs has a better shot at making the team over hall would at best hall would replace minor, which im all for looking into.

i dont even now who andre hall is

USF RB who went undrafted this year.

I really liked what he did in college - if he's an upgrade over Riggs and Harris then I'm sure Saban will take a look at him.

If we sign Andre Hall it would be to the practice squad. He has too much to learn and will have a difficult time surpassing Harris and Riggs on the depth chart.

I saw Riggs play a little on tv and I wasn't really impressed. I do like KJ Harris, but I think that Hall is a heck of a back and I'd like to see him get a shot at the RW role. If he spends a year on the PS like Harris, that's ok with me. I know that Hall was a FA, but I was still surprised that the Bucs cut him loose, especially this soon.

Yeah me too I think hall will be a guy that will always be able to stick around on an nfl team because he will do so many different things (like what we have in minor now) but hall has the potential to be a little more electryfing and in his running style he kinda reminds me of a brian westbrook type. I would like to give him a shot. Before he signed with tampa we were one of the teams interested in signing him, so maybe we'll still look into it.

I liked Hall in USF he avg. 5.1 yards and he ran 1374 yds. his senior year.
He had 13 tds last year also. Everybody knew that we were going to run the ball and Hall still ran it on them. He's 5"10, 205 lbs. He had 26 receptions 321 yards and 2 receiving tds

Im probably the biggest Andre Hall fan on this board. I watched almost all of his games at USF and the kid was amazing. They had one of the most dispicible passing attacks in college. Defences would just stack every man in the box and Hall would run thru em every time. I really think it would be smart to sign him.

I havent seen Hall in action at all, so I dont really know what he can do. But we're slightly lacking in the proven backup RB dept (I do like Morris, tho), so there isnt much risk in bringing him in for camp to see what he can do. You never know, we might be pleasantly surprised.

I think we are fine with what we have.
It can't hurt to bring him in. I liked this kid alot coming into the draft and it won't cost much to bring him in and if he doesn't work out oh well. But he could come in and make the team. The reward greatly outweighs the risk here.

The Dolphins were one of 5-6 teams to offer Andre Hall a contract after the draft. But he chose to stay in Tampa due to his mother's poor health.

There's a nice discussion in VIP about him. ;)
