so all you annoying haters or unknowledgeable people stop calling out RB to be a bust.

Rem. how RW was considered a bust? thats why the trade happened. he wasnt living up to this "potential" or expectations os to say. CHeck out the first 2 years of RW's compared to RB.

Also look at LT's first 2 yrs and how much MORE attempts he got in the NFL.

LT^^^

What's the point of this post? Are you comparing Ronnie brown to either Ricky or LT??? Last year, when Ronnie and Ricky were in the same backfield -- Ronnie was the lesser back...

lesser back? Ronnie was a rookie, but looks like both RW and RB averaged 4.4 yards/carry in 2005 (LT was 3.5 his rookie year). Ronnie also averaged over 7 yards per catch, which is more than you can say about Ricky in 2005, or LT at a similar stage of development.

Ricky did flash better vision in 2005, but again, Ronnie was a rookie then. It's obvious that his vision has improved this year.

Ronnie is our best player on offense and stands to get even better. I'm excited to see what Cameron can do with him, since he got the most out of LT in San Diego.

??

Rushing:
Ronnie Brown 207 907 4.4 4
Ricky Williams 168 743 4.4 6

Receiving
Ronnie Brown 32 232 7.3 1
Ricky Williams 17 93 5.5 0

RW had one more TD and RB had more yards and was a better receiver. They seem pretty close too me. RW's best year in 2002 was clearly better than anything RB has done so far, but that's not what you said. Considering RB was a rookie in 2005, his performance was the equal of RW.

He just telling all those stupid ronnie bashers to stay quiet and plus you can see in 2004 when cam cameron came to sd lt's average went down to 3.9 but i think we need to get oline and that is our biggest issue.

DUDE! I AM talking about the first 2 yrs of all 3 of theres man. not anything else. look how ronnie stands up with those 2 in regards of the first 2 yrs.

I see that Ronnie is going to become Chambers and McMichael... Only people in Miami feel they are any good... So I ask you guys, Is Ronnie a top 10 back?

....the people who have been responding to this thread for the most part is why I am so thankful someone gave me the gift of a VIP membership...

If you mean in the NFL currently, if I would take him over any 20 other guys, my answer is an emphatic yes.

Lt should never be used in the same sentence as ronnie brown ....this guy is going to the hall of fame in my book !!!

Ronnie Brown shows flashes of brilliance but whoever made the statement about Ricky Williams being traded because he was underachieving is wrong. He was improving every year just Mueller didn't want him because he was a distraction and they were confident in Deuce! Also, they got a lot in return for Ricky in the end!

With all this said I like the way RB compares with his first 2 years but LT is just a workhorse and an amazing back possibly the best ever! 10 Fumbles in his whole career running and recieving. He has had over 50 catches a year every year and he is never run for less then 1200 yards even though each year he has a lot of carries!

He's also used extensively more than we have Ronnie. We'll have to see how it works out with Cam calling the plays now.

Better Backs than Ronnie Brown... IMO

::AFC::
Bills: Willis McGahee
Bengals: Rudy Johnson
Steelers: Willie Parker
Ravens: Jamal Lewis
Colts: Addai
Jags: Maurice Jones-Drew
Chiefs: Larry Johnson
Chargers: Ladainian Tomlinson

::NFC::
Redskins: Clinton Portis
Eagles: Brian Westbrook
Bears: Thomas Jones
Falcons: Warrick Dunn
Saints: Deuce McCallister & Reggie Bush
Cardinals: Edgerrin James
Rams: Steven Jackson
49ers: Frank Gore
Seahawks: Shaun Alexander

I think there is NO WAY he is a top 10 back!

you guys are missing the idea of the post. He is saying that ronnie has the potential to be elite. Those 2 players weren't as good as they were bound to be their first 2 years either.
