RB? Flo knows better.

Duke Johnson anyone?
He may be in play, considering Drew is his agent and we may not end up getting any decent RB in the 5th or 7th round. Another player that may be in play is Brian Hill. Hill is only 26 years old and doesnt have too much wear and tear.

I had a dream about Spiller last night. I guess we have to wait one more year...

Flo is 21 century coach. He realize RB is no longer the centerpiece of the offense. Nowaday is all about big plays, QB and WR. Running is only a minor aspect of the offense that keep the defense honest. There is nothing wrong with RB by committee. You can always get a serviceable RB in day 3. Love his picks first two nights. RB tomorrow.
You gotta say running back by committee was sooooo successful last season that maybe we can add a few more free agents to the committee again!

Those teams you mentioned had QB settled. Receiving group established. Then RB in high round as icing on the cake

Our QB is settled as far as we weren't taking one and after Waddle so was our receiving core.

So you don't agree with yourself by your own standards.

At this point the 2 position that lack legit talent are C and RB. But now your moving into the part of the draft where most are projects and just roster fillers

If it's no important than why are we constantly churning it? If any JAG will do, why cut the ones we have? We just keep trading pennies... Why?

Eventually the time spent in acquiring and developing JAGS has a cost too.

Shouldn't it be spent elsewhere if we in fact don't value RBs?

Gaskin is as close to a "gem" as we are going to find with our low ball approach.

If they need a stud then they need to commit more to the problem.

Dont get me wrong, I appreciate the philosophy, but just to ignore a talent need with stubborn philosophy is idiotic.

I think we have gotten to cute with some of our picks. I'm not sold on some of these injury histories. We seem to love them.

At some point, we need youth and health WITH talent. Otherwise we are just building a house of cards.

Gaskin was consistently good last year. Only thing that held him back from being one of the best in the league was the injury and then Covid. Besides that we could use a bruiser. Let’s get Rhamondre Stevenson if he’s there next pick. Bruiser who can block to complement Gaskin.
Gaskin from being "one of the best in the league"?

Are you fing kidding me dude?

He is a well rounded third down / change of pace back.

He is not even the best runner on the team, that is Ahmed.

We have over populated this planet.....

Apparently they tried to trade up into rd 1 for etienne or Harris chris koufman said last night. Didnt expand on it just it was of a v good source.
My guess is they had something in place with New Orleans (their pick of Payton Turner looks like a bit of a reach) and were expecting at least Etienne to be there...like u say it looks like they didn't really rate anyone outside those two
I really love Williams. I think Denver made a good move jumping Miami. On a side note, I was surprised that the Broncos passed on Fields.

Miami gave up a 2022 3rd rounder to move up for Eichenberg. A similar trade could have been made if they iked Williams as much as the fan base.

Thrilled with Holland, though.

Those years are long gone. How many playoff wins did those Ricky years we had?
I would argue that the QB was the reason. Jay Fiedlers weak arm shortened the field for the opposing defenses.
Our defense and running game were playoff caliber.
Coach Pornstache wasnt a plus either.
Flores with Ricky?
Just think about that.

I believe we tried to trade back into the first for one of the first 2 RBs taken and couldn’t get it done. When we missed that the plan changed to plan B. The love wasn’t there passed the first 2 backs.
Oh? Who told you that?
