To all of those who have relentlessly cited that no RB should go before round two. I just would like to highlight that two went in the top 15. So, you can stop promulgating that ridiculous concept for top tier RBs now.

Nah. There is a "you can get a top RB in later rounds" cult/faction of posters. They scoff at taking a RB anywhere before mid round two. They are quite heavy handed with their bludgeoning every post about a RB with this particular concept hammer. As such, this thread is my way of making sure they didn't miss two going in not only the first round, but the top 15.I think the folks who feel RBs can be had later mean that in relation to other positions.
It also is a function of the individual RB and a given team’s opinion and need.
I thought it was a reach as well but I do not have their inside knowledge. While I’m not one of those who says that’s a hard and fast rule (I pretty regularly said Robinson wouldn’t make it out of the Top 10), I’d suggest that Gibbs was a reach.
I mean…Detroit had two early picks, so they could do what they wanted with the extra first…but that’s a weird pick.
Reach or not. They spent the 15 pick on it.While I’m not one of those who says that’s a hard and fast rule (I pretty regularly said Robinson wouldn’t make it out of the Top 10), I’d suggest that Gibbs was a reach.
