we have many running backs on our roster that are very solid back-ups, so who are the guys we cut??, is it minor, gordon, kay jay or morris or is morris going to switch to FB? this is what i think it will look like

RB- 1. Ronnie: 2nd pick in draft, great potential and clearly the best on the roster at this position.
2. Ricky: Will serve the 4 game suspension and then will b "bulked up" amd ready to play and share time with ronnie.
3. Gordon: Will serve as back up to ronnie during ricky's 4 game suspension and split very limited time with ronnie during that period
4. Kay Jay: should of been drafted, and clearly can eventually fill th role of back up and be solid

Cut: Minor, (morris will move to fb)

thoughts??

Morris sux

Morris and Minor blow. They will not make the cut. I dont want morris as FB. no way. Kay JAy will be practice squad and Ricky will be # 2 barring any Ronnie injury, with Gordon a # 3 on the depth charts. Im sick of hearing you guys wanting to keep that bum Morris. We have no use for either of them. .....See ya.........

well, If we are smart we will have 4 rb and 2 fb on our roster.

RB
#1 Ronnie (till week four) then R 'n R Ricky and Ronnie tag team
#2 Ricky
#3 Gordon
#4 Kay Jay

FB
#1 Evans
#2 Morris

I strongly beleive a few weeks out of the year when we play maybe the Jets or the Pats that use a 3-4 and who are a little soft in the middle we should use some three back sets and I wouldn't be surprised to see mcmike @ fb a few times and possibly get some touches... just a hunch;)

I strongly beleive if you line up in a big set and put Boston as 1 TE, Mcmike on the other side on the line then have a backfield of Ronnie Ricky and Evans or Morris. How would the D react. If they crowd the line, you Audible Boston and Mcmike to quick outs or out and ups, send Brown and Ricky into the flats and bring Evans or Morris over the middle short. If they don't crowd the line you audible the play to the weekest side and send more muscle than the D can handle in that direction..... Unstoppable smasmouth Football.

One other option is if they line up with a 4-6 or "goaline like formation" we could audible to a shotgun 4 wide set leave evans in to block and run deep. Not many DE or LB with speed to hang with ricky, ronnie, or Mcmike...

by the way, it would be great if we could find a special teams slot for minor, I really like him, but man we are DEEP @ RB!!!:)

Does anyone know if Gordon is any good? We kinda grabbed him as a last ditch effort in the mad scramble following the ricky fiasco. Who knows if Saban likes what he can do. I wasn't even convinced that Wanny and company liked him, they just didn't have any other options.

If anyone has any insight into the previous body of work of Lamar Gordon, or if he has any potential at all, please shed some light.

All I know is that Gordon and Minor proved they can be semi-productive backups.

What did Morris done to you? He did a good job last year considering how horrible our O-line was...Why is he a bum? He can be very effective also in short yardage situation...
