Sorry guys, hope this is in the correct section. I'm just trying to pick up the right sections for threads so I don't put them somewhere it doesn't belong.

I was looking at a few Ronnie Brown highlights and noticed more then i did the first time when I woudl watch the game taht it takes about 3-4 defenders EVERYTIME to take him down once he passes the 5 yrd run mark but it takes about 1-2 to take down RW now due to his weight loss and that when RB is being pulled down he is STILL gainin another 5-8yrds running whereas RW gains an extra 3 by falling forward. The interesting part is RB seems to fall a lot from shoe string tackles in the backfield a lot along with RW but with momentum he just out does RW to another level. He reminds me of a Bettis but thinner with another demension in the recieving game.

Hard to compare... Ronnie Brown's ability to be hard to tackle is great. Ricky's elusiveness is great.

Last year they were equally good as running backs. They really were.

The only thing that separates them, to me, is that Ronnie is young with room to grow and Ricky is at the other end of his career.

But they were both really great last year, and will be again next year.

Anyone who says one was signifigantly better as a running back last year is, I think, too big a fan of that player personally to be objective.

I agree 100%. personally I wanted RB to do better in the game, get more touches, more stats, and learn more then RW due to what happened but now as RW trade talks are coming along and I am about 80% down for the trade I'm starting to think adn picture it next year w/out him and see myself missing him a lot in Aqua. I just HOPE RB out does him if RW is gone so it doesn't come abck to shoot our buttocks. I am not sure if RB has the same break away runs like RW due to him loookin a bit slower then RW for some reason. Seems his weight might be a bit slowing him down. He was 233 I believe, you guys think he should shed 5-10 lbs to make him quicker?

ronnie does have that power too him but i still see that in ricky, depends on where he is on the field and how the defender tries to bring him down. i think ricky's quickness makes up for the weight loss and ronnies out of the backfield ability makes them probably the best 1-2 in the NFL as far as RB's go

i think ronnie is faster than ricky in short burst, not quickness but bursts. i think ricky might be quicker but i think ronnie is a much better rb than ricky at this point in time.

True. I think quickness is the difference. The BURST of speed

i think Kay-jay Harris is going to be better then both of them:tongue: if they do trade Ricky off we will have Ronnie brown Sammy Morris t minor and Kay-jay Harris fore are running game we need a good blocking fullback:goof:

Kay- Jay may turn out to be good, but he's on the PRACTICE SQUAD
for a reason. Also, we do have FB's on the roster, but we will be using
a lot of double tightend formations.....
And why do you always post in bold writing?
Its like you are yelling.

no fb well need with the new guy on offence's i was just broad with the post that were going on:wink:

plus why Kay-jay was on practices s. Ricky was not on the roster when they brought in Kay-jay in .if Ricky did not come back i bet you that Kay-jay would have been on their and would of back up ronnie brown.

Ricky or Ronnie...it`s a nice situation to be in, isn`t it? Who`s going to get the touches and who`s going to be the go to guy in the fourth. I think they both played equally well last season, and keeping Williams around is only going to keep Brown that much fresher, and prolong what is hopefully going to be a long career in Miami. It was too bad to see Ronnie get banged up late in the year and miss some time, but there`s no doubt he`s the real deal.

I agree Nopony...The both played their roles great. Brown's first couple of steps were a little slower than Ricky's but some of that could have been inexperience in the offense. Brown is more of a power runner than I thought and at times it looked like he was unstoppable. I actually like the way, once RW got rolling, they pulled the reins in on Brown so that he wouldn't hit the rookie wall so hard. It certainly wouldn't be the end of the world if RW is traded. I guess this is a good problem to have...to bad it's not our problem at the QB position...
