Cameron is not the GM or HC of the Ravens, true, but his voice was definitely heard in that War Room. I have to assume he had at least a little bit to do with the move they made to get to #18.

I envision it having gone a little like this:

Cameron: Trade up for Flacco.

Harbaugh: Why?

Cameron: Don't wait for a QB. If you do, you're going to end up with someone who has very small hands and can't hold onto the football.

Harbaugh: Oh, you mean like John Beck.

Cameron: Yes, I'm talking about John Beck, the guy I took last year as I waited for Kevin Kolb to fall into my lap.

Harbaugh: Well, I certainly don't want my QB to play like Beck did last year. Okay, all right, let's move up to #18 fellas!

I envision it more like......

Harbaugh: Ummmm yeh, Cam...... We all saw your brilliant player evaluating ability last year. We'll take that under advisement. (Then he whispers to the guys sitting to his left...."Who let Cam in the war room?")

What's the frequency Kenneth?

I can't believe you guys don't think it went down like this.

I imagine when Cam speaks, all other mouths shut, except for those open in awe.

How bout the fact that our CURRENT FO didn't draft Henne at 2A, and were surprised and thrilled when he fell to them at 2B. Meaning he got past Green Bay, Carolina, Chicago, Minnesota, and others who easily could have taken a QB. That means apparantly they were quite prepared to draft a project in the later rounds to fill our QB need instead of Henne. Chicago is really stupid for not taking a QB at some point. As great as I think Parcells is, I don't think he could have predicted even that.

How about that being a sign that our CURRENT FO thinks that Beck might turn out OK? We'll all see, but your scenario is a stretch and irrelevant.

Beck and Henne....may the best man win.

I love the ignorance of some fans.

Beck's hands measured in at bigger than those of any of the top 4 QBs taken yesterday.

Finally, it was said.

kolb was the guy.

Jerry Angelo is getting raked over the coles in the Chicago papers today for not taking a QB. Both Brohm and Henne were still available at 44. It doesn't help that the Packers took Brohm.

I found that surprising, as well. Ok, so they don't go round one because of Benson, but they don't go round two either? Another year of Rex Grossman? Wow.
