I know this forum has been mixed with opinions but I just have a simple question. Does it seem like we are reaching in every round? I mean if you didn't want to fill obvious needs and you didn't want the players that most of the other teams wanted then why did we not trade out of the first couple rounds for veterans that are proven? Besides what people say I like the picks but im not excited about the picks but more nervous that we are having that "Sleeper" draft that tends to bite teams in the a**. I honestly think we could have traded out of the first to get an extra late 2nd and we could have picked Odrick at #40 and Misi with that late 2nd and definitely used our third for another need besides picking John Jerry whom we could have waited till the 4th or 5th.

I don't know this is all confusing as hell but this has been a very scary draft for us. I hope these guys are better than what I have seen watching a lot of college football. Hopes are high but definitely nervous.

No, our coaches coached all three guys in the senior bowl. They know these guys way better than we do. I trust them more than anybody's opinion on this forum. Gasp! Even my own.

I agree Im not questioning our front office but it just seems we could have gotten these players a lot later.

the jury is out on every player drafted by every team, we may have 3 future Hall of Famers, or 3 pieces of crap, lets wait awhile before we decide either way.

Odrick was a consensus 1st rounder. John Jerry is a consensus top 3 OG in the draft and was a 2/3 round prospect. Misi was a 2nd round prospect as well, who did we reach for? Most people who have studied the draft closely can agree that these guys are taken about where they were supposed to go. Who's giving you this information on us "reaching"?

Well there were rumors that the Jets wanted Odrick and the Pats wanted Misi. Both teams were a few picks behind the Phins. Just rumors but i think the FO knows what they are getting from these guys. Not only from film but they actually coached them.

We're doing the opposite of reaching, it seems to me like they are sticking rigidly to their board, and as a result not drafting for needs at the moment.

Still plenty of picks to find a safety though.

There is no way Odrick would have been available at 40. In fact, some mocks had him in the top 20.
I believe the Jets were targeting him.
In the Sr bowl practices he clearly stood out and is the closest thing to a Richard Seymour in this draft.
I wouldn't consider the 2nd and 3rd picks 'reaches'. OG was not a need so obviously they picked a guy (Jerry) that they had a high grade on.
Koa Misi was a bit of a surprise, but obviously they feel he is a better player than Kindle, Worilds etc.

I disagree I think we really didnt need him in the first round we could have acquired more picks since all of our picks are not locks in each rounds like mocks led most people to believe and we should never ever pick players ahead of the PATS and JETS due to rumors of them being taken.

when you look at what most experts said, there were no reaches here. I think you are wrong on that end. You are disappointed obviously, but you are wrong on reaches

Ok I guess I stand corrected. But its ok to actually not like picks and realize that we have had picks in the past that werent great so in reality not all picks are 100% but according to most people in here every pick isnt a reach and all picks are 100% starters

I think if anything we picked right where they were supposed to, or later than they were projected. No reaches though.

Of the three, Misi might have the toughest adjustment. Jerry will start. Odrick should play alot
