Still Perfect.. and You're Not.
1-Hakeem Nicks-Wide Receiver-North Carolina
*When La. Coles became available from the Jets I thought we would be all over him but we passed; we passed on TJ Housmandzadeh. We obviously have our sights on someone in April and to me it's Hakeem nicks. Nicks likely will be on the board at #25 and I have him as the 2nd best receiver in the draft. Yes over Maclin and Heyward-Bey. Nicks ran a better forty time than projected and might just have the best hands in the enitre draft. He is a true #1 receiver and he will give us that firepower which Parcells said we lack. With Ginn, Bess,Camarillo, and London on board our YOUNG receiver core is looking very solid.
2A-Darius Butler-Cornerback-Connecticut
* Did you see this kid at the combine? The Dolphins are very keen on this kid and it's hard to imagine him lasting this long but with Sean Smith,Vontae Davis, Malcolm Jenkins, DJ Moore, and Alphonso Smith in this draft it is loaded with top level corner talent. Butler's technique is marvelous and he has the speed and cover ability to make an impact Day 1
2B-Cody Brown-Outside Linebacker-Connecticut
* I know for a fact the Dolphins love this kid and have had several sit-downs with him. He is one of those hybrid end-linebacker players who will translate to an Outside Linebacker in our defense. He excels as a pass rusher and is a solid fit for our defense.
3-Terrence Taylor-Nose Tackle-Michigan
*Scouts cooled on this guiy after a mediocre season at Michigan but after a very impressive combine he has himself heading up the charts again. The dolphins were impressed with size, speed, and strength and I think he is the Nose Tackle which we covet.
4-Cedric Peerman-Running Back-Virginia
*We have Ronny and Ricky so why do we need a Running Back? Ronnie is in his last year of his contract I do think we resign him but I do think this is Ricky's last year as a Dolphin. Patrick Cobbs is a good number 3 back but I aquestion his as a#2. Peerman is a beast who runs with power and speed.
5-Eric Vanderhevuel-Offensive Tackle-Wisconsin
*This guy has the makings of a Bill Parcell's football player. He is huge, strong, and will provide solid depth to our tackle positions
7A: Edwin Williams-Center-Maryland
*Samson Satele's days as a Dolphin are numbered. Grove is our starter and we signed Joe Berger for depth at Guard. I expect Satele to be traded for a 4th Round pick but we should see, Williams is severely under-rated and will be a solid starter in a few years.
7B: Kaluka Maiava-Linebacker-USC
* this guy is under the radar because he played with the likes of Rey Maualuga, Clay Matthews Jr, and Brian Cushing. I am impressed because despite USC haivng all of that talent, Maiva wasalways on the field.
7C: Lendy Holmes-Safety-Oklahoma
* We have our starters locked down but we need some depth and special teams ability. Holmes is a converted Receiver who is just a football player.
