Is this just for the Dolphins?

If not, Peterson is WAY too low IMO.

Otherwise not to bad.

Any draft board that has Peterson lower than 2 is nonsensical.

Really Boomer? So Mel Kiper doesn't know what he is doing? But wait he gets paid by ESPN to do so. Calvin Johnson, Joe Thomas, Brady Quinn, and Jamarcus Russell all have more value than Peterson. RB's come a dime a dozen and Peterson is no different.

With that said I love Peterson and think he is a great player but players such as Carriker, Adams,Branch, Okoye, and WIillis just have shown so much to me. The life of the running back doesn't last that long in the NFL thus I feel they have less value in the long run than players that will be cornerstones for years

dude.. this is why guys like boomer dont write here anymore.. I'd like to say Boomer is Finheavens Mel Kiper.. I'll listen to him.. maybe peterson shouldnt be in top 2.. but top 5 is definite..

I don't think is that bad of a board tho I don't see Stanton in the top 25....I agree with Simon that Peterson should be higher and 18 is too high for Poluszny imo.

Ozzy rules!!

Yep, Mel knows what he's doing. You won't find a bigger advoate of Mel Kiper at FH than me. But Calvin Johnson and Adrian Peterson are hvad and shoulders the two best players in the draft.

Joe Thomas is a Paul Gruber type LT. Has some issues with sinking his hips in pass pro. He's good but not D'Brickashaw Ferguson good. And that's not better than Peterson. JaMarcus Russell as a better player than Adrian Peterson? Don't make me laugh. Reading coverages will be extremely difficult for him. He'll throw a lot of picks and make a lot of bad decisions. If you try to confuse him with coverages, you can do that. Is that better than Peterson. Of course not.

Quinn I love, but as a pure talent, he's not Peterson. I've been doing this draft thing for a long time and he's the best back, if fit, that's come down the pipe since Barry Sanders on talent alone. Big, fast, hard worker with exemplary work habits. Super-tough, can go to house on any touch. You watch all his touchdowns and it's LaDanian Tomlinson all over again.

Johnson and Peterson are the two best players in the draft.

The longeivity of a back shouldn't effect your board. Peterson is what he is.

Im not that high on Russell either BOOM!!! I dont know how Peterson could be rated this low, doesnt make sense to me.

I mean, Alan Branch rated ahead of a back with legitimate Hall of Fame potential??

The same sloppy, out of shape Branch who can get turned out of a hole, who can get moved off the LOS and turned down the line sideways and who can disappear for series on end?? Flip on his biggest game of the year against Doug Datish and tell me if he's better than Peterson.

Not in my book.

BOOM i was going to say the same thing about Branch...He disapeers at times, and doesnt play with a high motor. A lot of people want us to take him at 9 and i dont see it IMO. Im not sold on that kind of player at 9. I want a player who plays every play for my team, especially at the 9 spot.

This is what scouts said about him at the Combine:

"Looks the part, but he disappears. When did he have a good game?"

"Against Wisconsin he played over a guard that's not very good. He stinks. He's not a quick-twitch guy. He can run once he gets off blocks but I never see him defeat people one-on-one. Never."

"He's a different type of bird. You've got to deal with that. Like (Marshawn) Lynch. He's got that group of friends that aren't going away."

Big Daddy had the same rep coming out of school but had a great workout if im not mistaken, although he was rated much higher than Branch, and was well regarded as one of the top tier players that year. It took him several years to play up to his potential. We of course drafted Bowens and he blew Big Daddy away that rookie year, and for years after that as well.
