I was going to fo 7 rounds but I have an early flight and I can only watch Day One due to my Wedding being on Sunday. There are a lot of suprises on this and I did predict that Braylon Edwards gets traded to the Giants for their first rounder.

Round 1

  • Lions: Matthew-Stafford-Quarterback-Georgia- There is more depth at Offensive Tackle than Quarterback in this draft so the Lions take Stafford. I mean can they really rely on Daunte Culpepper?
  • Rams: Jason Smith-Offensive Tackle-Baylor-They lost Orlando Pace and Alex Barron has been a bust so they need a fixture at Left tackle for the next decade.
  • Chiefs: Tyson Jackson-Defensive End-LSU-This could be considered the reach heard round the world but if Josh McDaniels really wants to convert to a 3-4 defense they need a run stuffing end. I have heard the Chiefs are high on Jackson and the recent signing of Zach Thomas might show that the Chiefs aren't as keen on Aaron Curry is everyone thinks.
  • Seahawks: Mark Sanchez-Quarterback-USC-Matt Hassleback has been getting hurt as he gets older and when they need to depend on Seneca Wallace things go south in a hurry, Sanchez will be groomed to take over in 2011 or sooner
  • Browns: Aaron Curry-Linebacker-Wake Forest-The Browns will fall in with the versatility of Curry as he can play both Inside and Out.
  • Bengals: Eugene Monroe-Offensive Tackle-Virginia-The Bengals need a Left Tackle more than anything and Monroe falling to them here is a mini-miracle.
  • Raiders: Darrius Heyward-Bey-Wide Receiver-Maryland-With the Chiefs making a reach early in the draft Al Davis is not to be topped so he takes the combine warrior, Darrius Heyward Bey. The 4.30 forty that Darrius ran scored him big-time.
  • Jaguars: BJ Raji-Nose Tackle-Boston College-The Jaguars were good when they had Henderson and Stroud clogging the middle. Stroud is gone and I think they will sign Torry Holt to take care of their receiver need. Raji and Henderson will combine in the middle to create quite the force
  • Packers: Brian Orakpo-Outside Linebacker-Texas- They need that pass-rushing outside linebacker to make the conversion to the 3-4 defense and Orakpo sure looks the part. I think he is a risk here but he is simply a remarkable athlete.
  • 49ers: Michael Crabtree-Wide Receiver-Texas Tech-The 49ers do not even need a receiver too bad but Crabtree is the best player in this draft and him falling to 10 is a joke. The 49ers take the best player here and will never look back.
  • Bills: Brandon Pettigrew-Tight End-Oklahoma State-The Bills could look at Offensive Tackle here after trading Jason Peters but they love Pettigrew. Pettigrew is the most complete Tight End in the last decade.
  • Broncos: Rey Maualuga-Inside Linebacker-USC- The Broncos wanted Sanchez to fall here but he didn't so they take the best impact player on the defensive side of the ball. Maualuga is just a monster and combining him with DJ Williams in the middle is simply scary.
  • Redskins: Andre Smith-Offensive Tackle-Alabama- The Redskins need a Left Tackle and they like to be in the news so they kill two bird with one stone.
  • Saints: Chris Wells-Running Back-Ohio State-Gives them the power-runner they desperatly need to complement Reggie Bush
  • Texans: Malcolm Jenkins-Cornerback-Ohio State-The Texans play the Colts twice a year and never have a secondary; Jenkins gives them a solid player and leader on their improving defense.
  • Chargers: Everette Brown-Outside Linebacker-Florida State-Shawn Merriman returns from an injury and Shaun Phillips comes over a so-so campaign so they draft a player who can help get them more pressure.
  • Jets: Jeremy Maclin-Wide Receiver-Missouri- They need a Quarterback but they wanted Sanchez so they go with the best play-maker left and fill a major void.
  • Broncos (Bears): Josh Freeman-Quarterback-Kansas State-They can't go into the season with Kyle Orton as their Quarterback for real.
  • Buccaneers: Michael Johnson-Defensive End-Georgia Tech- The Buccaneers are very high with having a Defensive End tandem consisting of Gaines Adams and Michael Johnson; who wouldn't be?
  • Lions: Michel Oher-Offensive Tackle-Mississippi-They got their Quarterback early on and now need someone to protect him
  • Eagles: Knowshon Moreno-Running Back-Georgia- Brian Westbrook needs someone to help him carry the load. Moreno is the best back in this draft.
  • Vikings: Eben Britton-Offensive Tackle-Arizona-Desperatly need a Right Tackle and eventual replacement for Bryant McKninnie on the Left Side
  • Patriots: Aaron Maybin-Outside Linebacker-Penn State-The Patriots need an Outside Linebacker who can rush the passer; despite Maybin being a "project" the Patriots are good enough to take the risk here.
  • Falcons: Brian Cushing-Outside Linebacker-USC-When team leader Keith Brookings left and Michael Boley signed with the Giants, Outside Linebacker became the teams' biggest need. Cushing is a solid player and should be a day one starter
  • Dolphins: Darius Butler-Cornerback-Connecticut-The Dolphins play Drew Brees, Peyton Manning, and Tom Brady twice and have a major need at Corner. They have worked out Butler a few times and are very keen on him.
  • Ravens: Kenny Britt-Wide Receiver-Rutgers-The Ravens need a big wide receiver and Flacco needs some weapons. Britt is a guy who needs time to develop but in time will be a good player.
  • Colts: Peria Jerry-Defensive Tackle-Mississippi-The Colts have problems keeping defensive tackle's on their team i.e Quinn pit****, Corey Simon, and Ed Johnson. Jerry is tremendous value this far down the draft board.
  • Bills(Eagles): Robert Ayers-Defensive End-Tennessee-The Bills need an Offensive Tackle and a Defensive End here so they go Robert Ayers vs William Beatty, Ayers is the better player
  • Browns (From Giants for Braylon Edwards): Larry English-Outside Linebacker-Northern Illinois-I hate predicting trades but I know this will happen. The Browns will keep Curry Inside with D'Qwell Jackson and use Larry English opposite of Kameron Wimbley. English might be my favorite player in this entire draft.
  • Titans: Evander Hood-Defensive Tackle-Missouri-They need to try to replace Haynesworth
  • Cardinals: Clay Matthews Jr.-Outside Linebacker-USC-They need to reload on Defense after a bunch of their players cashed in free agency. Matthews Jr. is a hard worker and will make a contribution for the Cardinals as he develops
  • Steelers: Vontae Davis-Cornerback-Illinois-The Steelers get a player with Top 15 talent but a bad attitude lands him down the draft, Mike Tomlin is a players' coach and will get the best out of Davis.

Round 2

  • Lions: James Laurinaitis-Inside Linebacker-Ohio State
  • Patriots (Chiefs): Alphonso Smith-Cornerback-Wake Forest
  • Rams: Percy Harvin-Wide Receiver-Florida
  • Browns: Donald Brown-Running Back-Connecitut
  • Seahawks: Louis Delmas-Free Safety-Western Michigan
  • Bengals: Alex Mack-Center-California
  • Jaguars: Sean Smith-Cornerback-Utah
  • Raiders: William Beatty-Offensive Tackle-Connecticut
  • Packers: Jarron Gilbert-Defensive End-San Jose State
  • Bills: Max Unger-Offensive Line-Oregon
  • 49ers: Connor Barwin-Outside Linebacker-Cincinnati
  • Dolphins (Redskins): Hakeem Nicks-Wide Receiver-North Carolina
  • Giants (Saints): Clint Sintim-Outside Linebacker-Virginia
  • Texans: William Moore-Safety-Missouri
  • Patriots (Chargers): Duke Robinson-Guard-Oklahoma
  • Broncos: Paul Krugar-Defensive End/Outside Linebacker-Utah
  • Bears: Brian Robiskie-Wide Receiver-Ohio State
  • Browns (Buccaneers): DJ Moore-Cornerback-Vanderbilt
  • Cowboys: Rashad Johnson-Safety-Alabama
  • Jets: LeSean McCoy-Running Back-Pittsburgh
  • Eagles: Cornelius Ingram-Tight End-Florida
  • Vikings: Eric Wood-Center-Louisville
  • Falcons: Jared Cook-Tight End-South Carolina
  • Dolphins: Ron Brace-Nose Tackle-Boston College
  • Ravens: James Casey-Tight End-Rice
  • Patriots: Jamon Meredith-Offensive Tackle-South Carolina
  • Panthers: Sen’Derrick Marks-Defensive Tackle-Auburn
  • Giants: Coye Francies-Cornerback-San Jose State
  • Colts: Marcus Freeman-Outside Linebacker-Ohio State
  • Titans: Brandon Tate-Wide Receiver-North Carolina
  • Cardinals: Shawn Nelson-Tight End-Southern Mississippi
  • Steelers: Phil Loadholt-Offensive Tackle-Oklahoma

Miami Dolphins

Round 2 (#44): Hakeem Nicks-Wide Receiver-North Carolina
Round 2 (#56): Ron Brace-Nose Tackle-Boston College
Round 3 (#87): Cody Brown-Outside Linebacker-Connecticut
Round 4 (#108): Cedric Peerman-Running Back-Virginia
Round 5 (#161): Frantz Joseph-Inside Linebacker-Florida Atlantic
Round 6(#181): Don Carey-Cornerback-Norfolk State
Round 7(#214): Lydon Murtha-Offensive Tackle-Nebraska
Round 7(#237): Edwin Williams-Center-Maryland

I have a hard time believing the Chiefs do that, and an even harder time believing the Hawks pass on Curry, Monroe or Crabtree at 4, all of whom fill needs.

not bad.... though I am not that crazy about butler, but I can live with this mock

The Bills do that and Jpeazy will have 5 sacks in both games vs. them.

i love the peerman pick. i think we need to draft running back in rounds 2-4 to compliment ronnie brown. ricky just doesnt cut it anymore. also, id be stoked if we ended up getting hakeem nicks in round 2. that guys goiing to be a beast.

definitely one of the better mocks for us i've seen...good job on that...i certainly do hope we can get Nicks...i have a feeling he's going to be another Anquan Boldin....oh,and if the Browns nab both Curry AND English, that'll be a scary Linebacking duo there...

Very nice job there. I could very easily see our draft going like that and I would be ok with it. I think it's more likely that it will be Sean Smith over Butler, but the rest seems pretty accurate.

I would like that draft for the dolphins , would rather take Brinkly with 5.I also think the handwriting shows we will take a TE also so one OL will probably be it, I dont see Nicks or Brace being at that pick though. I think Peerman goes higher also. Solid thought processthough

I don't think we even consider Tight End unless Pettogrew falls to #25. We are high on Joey Haynos and Fasano is a Pro-Bowler in the making.

I think Nicks could go anywhere from #29-#45.

now that the bills dont have a LT i see them drafting one with there first pick and IMO that is a little of a reach for Brandon Pettigrew but now one to the dolphins i think that is a great draft and would love for it to happen that way
