I will start by saying do not ready too much into these games as the teams' do not even gameplan for these games. Everyone is running around like a chicken with their head cut off b/c we didn't kill the Buccs last night. The weather was terrible and I am shocked they even played the game considering it's the pre-season. Here is what I saw..

* I did not come away impressed at all. I don't think the weather is entirely to blame as I feel the biggest issue was that the Dolphins are a very tired team. They played three game in the last 10 days and had two-d-day practices in between those game. They didn't look frsh, they didn't look enthused; just not their day but they still won bringing their pre-season record to 3-0.

*Quentin Moses continues to stand out. If this guy doesn't make the team someone is getting a quality player. He constantly gets pressure.

*Brian Hartline..Wow! I though him starting was a ploy to motivate Camarillo and Bess. This guy played very very well.

*Rought night for Ronnie Brown.. Not So Much for Caddy Williams...

*Lex Hilliard looked terrible and that fumble probably lands him off the final roster.

*Vontae Davis and Sean Smith are going to be special. Davis plays with energy and swagger and just hits everything in sight. Davis is a great cover guy with solid ball skills

*It didn't count but that catch by Davone Bess was ridicolous.

*Good to see Camarillo make a play but looked a little slow; I thought that was a TD! Great throw by Henne

* What was Henne thinking on that interception in the red-zone? terrible..

*No Pat White?

*The Buccs receivers were getting wide open on us in the 1st quarter. Luckily Leftwich isn't very good..

*Pennington is.. What a great drive to start the 2nd half.

*I think it's important to know that the coaches do not want to show too much in terms of play calling in the pre-season...

*No Wild-Cat....

*Paul Solai with a nice sack; Solid pressure all day long by the likes of Wake, Walden, Moses, JT, Porter etc...

*Dan Carpenter has the kicking job locked up...

*You can see whre we miss Matt Roth when Caddy Williams was breaking tackles

*Our kickoff and punt coverage is the worst I have seen..

*Ted Ginn returning kicks. I want more of that!

*Joey Haynos is going to get cut in favor of Nalbone.

*Overall, poor performance. Come on September 13

Nice summary, I think the other thing people forget is we play there guys this year. Don't want to show too much to them first hand. But game was very poorly played. But we won, good teams win bad games instad of lose them.

A good write up, the only problem i have with it is you think Sean Smith had a good night. Unfortunately he god burned all night by Stovall.

they were definitely tired. I think some of you are making too much out of this preseason game. This is one tired team. tony will be pulling back the reigns soon.

Good Read.....I agree with most everything, I do disagree about Hillard....All the backs and O line played poorly, I think he bounces back and has a good final game were he will get 10-15 carries. If he doesn't make the team its not because of last night.

Henne Int.....that's what preseason is about.....A smart player will not fall for that again. Hopefully hes one.

I think this team needs a day off or at least a practice with just shells.....time to get there legs fresh again.

It seemed to me that the playcalling was more vanilla than normal for a preseason game. I wonder if Atlanta and Tampa have similar style D's and we didnt want to show Atlanta anything.

That was one physical game.....not often do you see these guys get out hit like that, in the trenches, on both sides of the ball.

I still think we can beat Atlanta but it will take our best effort and lots of Defense....

Kendall Langford had an outstanding game.

Future pro bowler in the making.

I think the Dolphins were extra vanilla in this game because Tampa and Atlanta are in the same division, and run similar defenses.. Miami didn't want to reveal anything to Atlanta.

As well as Tampa later in the regular season.

Or Tampa, since we do play them this year as well. To the original post they said they were going to play the Chads pretty much the whole game so I gathered that to mean they had no intention of playing Pat White.

I replayed the int on my tv and to me it seemed like the ref screened the defender. I could be wrong though but I'd like to give Henne the benefit of the doubt.

its all about reps, no game planning, amazing how people are making much of this game. We even win a meaningless pre-season game and people are saying we arent looking good.....lol

Because we didnt... and its not just about reps, it is about the game plan and how effectively the coaching staff and players can execute it.. Preseason is meaningless in terms of wins and losses, but it is one of the most important tools in terms of evaluating players in a real gametime scenario. Training camp is for the reps, preseason games are to evaluate where all those reps got you.. To mearly toss the game out the window and say it meant nothing is quite ignorant

I can't stand when people quote an entire post only to type a general sentence.:rolleyes2: We can figure out what you are referring to.

I dont think that the we didnt show much statement is all that correct.

what happens if last night's game is how the team plays in the regular season ? this koolaid has a lot of people thinking this front office and coaching staff are infalliable . lets watch the next two games before we cruicfy or annoint players I a going to wait and see .

It would take two refs and a frig to screen the Bucs defender.
