Last year, Jordan played 339 snaps, 206 on the pass rush wit 2 sacks (with 1 not counting on penalty), 4 hits, and 18 hurries. He was in coverage 46 times, and in spite of what a few have posted on how good he was vs Gronk and Graham, it is not true. He was in cover only twice in the first Pats game, and one time vs Gronl for an incompletion. Gronk did not play in game #2. Graham was 4 for 4 for 100 yards, and Jordan was not in cover on ant snaps.

Jordan had one VG game vs Atlanta, one sack that counted, and one good cover on Gronk. They were his highlights. We were a win out the playoffs, and he had nothing to do with it

We all expect much more this year but, losing him for 4 games is far from huge effect on the team. We will survive.

*sorry for the title typo.

We will survive, but I do believe this is a different player going in to his 2nd year....so I think the impact of him being out has a little more significance

I believe the reality check was last year when we drafted him no.3 We all saw no. 3 as a starter even with a shoulder injury.

But this offseason, he has gained weight, is more familiar with the defense and is being coached by JT. He also knows he is behind Wake and OV. That should give him the motivation to impress this year. All indications point to a great year for the time he will spend on the field.

The bad is that he misses 4 games needed for development.

A few things here. One, the team will "survive", but it does not change the fact the team was expecting an impact from a kid that essentially red shirted last year. I agree they can win with out him, but he was an X factor in maybe getting them to another level.

Secondly, I was there in person watching how easily Jordan ran with Gronk. It was no joke how easy it looked. No, he did not defend him all game, but it shouted loud what he could do with more experience and creativity from the coaching staff.

Its true he's not a huge loss for us right now, but you don't really blame him for not stopping graham right? Nobody covers graham.

He should play 3/4 of every preseason game btw.

Thanks Daytona .
I don't think he'll play much in the preseason. We need to get the players that are actually eligible to play ready for opening day.

Totally, disagree. Jordan needs all the development he can get. It is not as though he has been bounced for the season. Come October he will be back and any shortening of the learning curve is welcomed IMO.

He should play the entire 2nd 3rd and most the 4th..
And he should look like a baller

Maybe you guys are right. Maybe his punishment should be playing with the scrums. A sure way to get injured and miss even more time.

Disregard my comments. i'm just pissed at our #3 pick for bringing this on himself.

I've posted that I thought Jordan could be the best cover on TE's of any player in the NFL but, the team did not put him there. Hell, Jenkins was in coverage almost twice as much, and Wheeler and Ellerbe on around 1,000 plays.

All I'm disagreeing with is the overreaction by many on the effect of losing him for 4 games will have, not saying it will not have any.

He was never given the chance, not for one play, and I believe he could hold his own against him.
