What if Paul Soliai finally grows up and comes of age???????

Didn't pretty much everyone agree that he was drafted as an extreme project player??

Isn't it true that itis widely accepted that it takes a two year apprenticeship to develope a good NT anyway???????????

What if this kid catches on and really learns how to ,"throw his wieght around."

What if Jason Allen indeed does have a breakout year and starts playing according to his abilities??? Maybe he was a slow learner, but now with time and age he settles down and is able to focus on every down.

What if Ireland wasn't just speaking off the cuff when he said Joey Thomas was a good player?????????????????

What if Ginn really does establish himself as an every down threat this year??????????

What if Cameron Wake is the real deal???? And how real can a 260 lbs.
6'3" LB with 4.5 speed and a 46 inch vertical really be??????????

What if last year wasn't a one in 10 deal and Chad Pennington behind an improved OL actually has a better year than last year???????????

What if Gibril Wilson was even just remotely close with what he said about the secondary???

What if Ronnie Brown really does have that huge breakout year many of you have been talking about for years???????

What if Brandon London steps up and plays on Sundays as good as he looked in the practice video that was going around?????

What if the curse is broken and the OL stays healthy for a year??????

Before this team even drafts or adds Jason Taylor there are a lot of reasons to have BIG HOPE in the Dolphins 09 season.

We have seen a lot go wrong in the past, maybe, just maybe, a lot will go right this year.

So called, needs, are so exaggerated this time of year. Maybe this team isn't as impoverished as many think it is. Thoughts?

"What ifs" are not reasons to believe. They are reasons for uncertainty and doubt.

Soli got suspended for two games last year and, never produced anything on the field.

Allen has been a proven inconsistant performer at best. How many years and regimes have to prove that to people before they realize the kid just doesn't have it?

Joey Thomas? They said Wilford was good too.

Ginn has already proven he's an every down WR. He's the team's #1 WR threat.

Cameron Wake is going from the CFL to the NFL. While I think he's going to add to the team, I also don't think it's any wonder the list of CFL players that come to the NFL and perform at superstar level is pretty limited.

I could say that Miami is going to have the best secondary in the NFL next year and it would mean as much as Wilson saying it. The main thing with Wilson is his presence alone makes the secondary better.

Ronnie Brown could well have that season that everyone keeps telling us he's going to have. He's going to have every chance.

OLs rarely stay intact for a whole year. Smiley has proven he has issues staying healthy as does Grove. Thomas is coming off an injury. We'll see.

Right now the best reason for hope is that we are a better team right now than we were at this time last year, and, there is reason not to believe we will be better still. We, with the talent we have now and what we'll get in the draft, probably, will be in a position to contend for the AFC East championship......That's the real reason for hope.

There is no doubt this team is better today than even at the end of last year. Not only in talent but the fact that this team has had a full year in a new system with a new coaching staff playing together. This camp should be night and day for some folks. Another offseason in their conditioning program - guys should be in great shape!

We add some good young talent from the draft combined with the current roster this team should be very tough. There will always be What Ifs but the upside for this team is high and those that say their record will fall because of the SOS are not taking into account the improved Phins and potential downside of teams that played well last year.

The fact that a player like jason allen had to learn three different regimes did nothing but hurt his progression. No one can say that he's had the time to completely learn and thoroughly understand the defensive schemes. Not to mention the position changing he's been force to do.. I think 2010 will be a legitimate evaluation year for him. He's gonna be good imo

He's just not good enough dude. He's just not. People say what you say every single year, and, guess what? He's not the starter, year after year.

Let's look at the glass half full. "what ifs" can also be reason to hope that this is a magical season that ends with the Miami Dolphins winning the Super Bowl being played in their home stadium.

You can stake your hope on whatever you like. I'm staking it on what has been proven rather than pennies and wishes.

I'd be happy if half of that comes to past, Consider it as icing on the cake. To be honest I think there will be 1-2 of these what if's that could surprise a lot of people. Plus I'll add one Matt Roth has a breakout year and has found the position best suited for his playing style.
