1. Miami still pretty much has the same Defense as last year.
2. Miami Has now two receivers, not just one to throw the ball to.
3. Like Turner or not, he did not use the TE or FB as much as he should
have, out new OC may end up not even being close to as good a
Coordinator as Turner, but he will try to use the TE and FB more, and
with the talent we have there, that will work to our favor.
4. Last year we could have won more then 10 games, if not for Jay
going down again. This year he will be backing up Feeley. Most hate
Fiedler, but don't forget one thing, as a starter, he is limited, but as a
backup, he is a very good player. If Feeley is as good as he was said
to be, then we are set, because in case of emergency, Fiedler can
come in and win 2-3 games with no problems.
5. We won last year 10 games with a QB that can't throw a deep ball,
and a premier RB that averaged 3.5 yards a carry, because at time
he was not very motivated. I do not know much about Lamar Gordon
except that he does not have the natural talent of Ganja Boy, and
that he will show more heart, and will be more motivated then the
Wackyweed express. I may be wrong, but I expect Gordon to be able
to average 3.5 or better (I personally expect better). we will be in
the same boat or better then last year.
6. Miami drafted a lot of players this year that will make a big impact on
Special, so eventually Special teams is going to be a plus for us, and
at the very least much better then last year.
7. On O-line last year we had a Rookie at L-tackle, a player coming back
from injury at L-Guard, this year we have last years Rookie, one year
smarter, and a Guard that is healthy, and looks to be a steal for us. At
Center have at worse gotten a player just as good as last year. At the
right side of the line, St Clair has proven to be a pretty good player if
allowed to stay in that one spot and we have lose very little with
Wade leaving us, but the R-guard does still have to prove it has a
solid player to play there. The only thing making this line less
productive then last years line, is the same thing that will in the end
help it be much then last year. Right now this is a very young group
that has played very few games together, but as they have proven
since Preseason, they are going to get better every week, and
by week 4, this should be a solid to above average line.
