Quite literally, Legedu Naanee’s name means “Good is coming.”

It just hasn’t arrived yet, at least in the NFL.
But after two teams, two foot surgeries and five nondescript seasons, good — and perhaps even more — might just be around the bend in Miami.
Naanee, the journeyman receiver who signed a one-year deal with the Dolphins in the spring, has rocketed to the top of a team’s depth chart after a string of solid practices. Naanee, who caught a team-high five passes in last weekend’s scrimmage, is projected to start Friday’s exhibition opener against Tampa Bay.

My Biggest issue with him is that he decided to use #19 everyone knows that number doesn't workout around here................................. :)

Yeah, seriously. If Legadu doesn't work out, we're going to have to retire that thing.

i am looking forward to the game hard knocks was great . i hope we have a great season and beat the sorry jets an pats its our time to win and kick some butts

APWhen the Dolphins traded Brandon Marshall at the moment the free-agent market opened in March, many assumed that the team would pursue one of the many big-name receivers who were available.
They didn’t.
Eventually, the Dolphins added Legedu Naanee, who had spent a year in Carolina after starting his career in San Diego. And while some (e.g., I) scoffed, Naanee has risen to the occasion.
According to Adam H. Beasley of the Miami Herald, Naanee is in line to start the preseason opener, and he’s vying for a starting job when the real games start.
“I am absolutely not sugar-coating this,” agent David Canter told Beasley. “I told every single person when he signed here he’d be the No. 1 receiver if healthy.”
Naanee’s not the No. 1 guy yet. A copy of the team’s tentative depth chart shows Naanee and Davone Bess as the starters at one receiver position, with Chad Johnson the starter at the other. Brian Hartline is listed as Johnson’s backup.
Elsewhere on the depth chart, rookie running back Lamar Miller is mired in fourth position, behind Reggie Bush, Daniel Thomas, and Steve Slaton. Also, cornerback Vontae Davis sits one spot behind Richard Marshall at cornerback.
The biggest surprise for now is Naanee. And so remember that one for your fantasy draft. Two N’s. Two A’s. Two E’s. Hopefully more than two W’s.

Na Nu Na Nu..

I hope he stays healthy and makes some big plays.

I hope he learns how to not suck in real games, because that's all he's done when it matters.

Anyone know where his nickname comes from? Everyone calls him "LA."

Yeah I'm still not onboard with Naanee...practice is one thing, I need to see it in games. Preseason is a start but not the barometer given there is no game planning.

Yup, let's hope he makes a name for us during the season. I like what I've seen from him so far in camp, but he's gotta do it when the games really count and on a consistent basis. I can tell you, a lot of Charger fans here in So Cal got tired of his inconsistency real quick. He'd be good one game, then nowhere to be seen the next few. I hope he can change that here in Miami, but we'll see.

He was absolutely horrible in games. Horrible.

Most of the time, yes...80 percent of the time he was non-existent, though. But I do recall a couple of pretty good games he had in San Diego. He's got the ability to put together a good game, but gets very lazy and mistake prone...something I know Philbin won't stand for. Hopefully he adjusts or he won't see much playing time.

Also he had Rivers throwing to him, you would think that would've made him perform better than most other situations.
