Receiver over LB/CB?

yes as much as i hate agreeing with dolphins fan, and even tho i like Leonte Carroo, but hes another jarvis landry type playmaker which is a good thing but this kid may not even see the field, we should have def went with a linebacker here, that wouldve made this draft A+
 
Parker, Landry, Stills,?....... You need more than 3 wr's in this league. What if one of them gets hurt?
 
Linebackers will be there tomorrow. Carroo was a BPA and a good pick considering the dropoff in talent.
 
What linebacker are you going to take at this point or corner? Sharp drop-off at linebacker and corner took a nose dive out of the 2nd round. I agree that Carroo is more of a luxury pick per se but his talent is undeniable and the question becomes is his talent at wr "better" than what was left at lb or corner. Dolphins are 2 seasons away from filling all the holes that were made over the past 5 years. Can't fix it in one draft.
 
Pre-draft, I desperately wanted Jaylon and/ or Jack at LB. Jaylon converts speed to power tremendously. He can run and has uncommon power. I mean, he will hit you. Jack is outstanding. Coverage and versatility by that kid is off the charts. Both were injury risks. I suppose I wasn't the only one thinking that way but they went too early, in an area Miami just couldn't get them. I had argued for Miami to take Jaylon in the third, but it wasn't meant to be. I hope we can get a talent like this at linebacker next year. It's frankly a position that is completely misunderstood and tremendously undervalued by pundits.

Jenkins, Alonso, Misi. Workman like at best. Massive injury risks. Hewitt off the bench at olb is interesting. Clueless last year but he showed a spark and his metrics are good. Backup at MLB is an obvious concern.
 
I think Joseph might have looked at his 2nd year linebackers (Vigil, Hewitt) and told the FO that they're better than outside observers realize. I also believe Jelani Jenkins was playing much of last year injured, and his performance suffered, but fans weren't given the entire story. I would love to pick up Kwiatkoski or Scooby Wright on Day 3 to challenge our guys and add some depth, but I no longer consider it an absolute need.

I do hope we draft at least another OG and DE.
 
The Dolphins knew they needed a Linebacker. They tried to trade up to get Myles Jack. Once Jack was gone, it was between Howard, Craven and Jones. When the 3rd rd came along, the type of backer they wanted was not available.
